{{g|ਲਾਖ ਕਰੋਰੀ ਬੰਧ੝ ਨ ਪਰੈ ॥

|Lĝkẖ karorī banḝẖ na parai.

|Acquiring hundreds of thousands and millions, your desires shall not be contained.}}

{{g|ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮ੝ ਜਪਤ ਨਿਸਤਰੈ ॥

|Har kĝ nĝm japaṯ nisṯarai.

|Chanting the Name of the Lord, you shall find release.}}

{{g|ਅਨਿਕ ਮਾਇਆ ਰੰਗ ਤਿਖ ਨ ਬ੝ਝਾਵੈ ॥

|Anik mĝ­i­ĝ rang ṯikẖ na bujẖĝvai.

|By the countless pleasures of Maya, your thirst shall not be quenched.}}

{{g|ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮ੝ ਜਪਤ ਆਘਾਵੈ ॥

|Har kĝ nĝm japaṯ ĝgẖĝvai.

|Chanting the Name of the Lord, you shall be satisfied.}}

{{g|ਜਿਹ ਮਾਰਗਿ ਇਹ੝ ਜਾਤ ਇਕੇਲਾ ॥

|Jih mĝrag ih jĝṯ ikėlĝ.

|Upon that path where you must go all alone,}}

{{g|ਤਹ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ੝ ਸੰਗਿ ਹੋਤ ਸ੝ਹੇਲਾ ॥

|Ŧah har nĝm sang hoṯ suhėlĝ.

|there, only the Lord's Name shall go with you to sustain you.}}

{{g|ਝਸਾ ਨਾਮ੝ ਮਨ ਸਦਾ ਧਿਆਈਝ ॥

|Aisĝ nĝm man saḝĝ ḝẖi­ĝ­ī­ai.

|On such a Name, O my mind, meditate forever.}}

{{g|ਨਾਨਕ ਗ੝ਰਮ੝ਖਿ ਪਰਮ ਗਤਿ ਪਾਈਝ ॥੨॥

|Nĝnak gurmukẖ param gaṯ pĝ­ī­ai. ॥2॥

|O Nanak, as Gurmukh, you shall obtain the state of supreme dignity. ॥2॥}}

|Nĝm japaṯ ṯah pĝr parĝhī.

|Chanting the Naam, you shall be lifted up and carried across.}}

{{g|ਅਨਿਕ ਬਿਘਨ ਜਹ ਆਇ ਸੰਘਾਰੈ ॥

|Anik bigẖan jah ĝ­ė sangẖĝrai.

|Where countless misfortunes threaten to destroy you,}}

{{g|ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮ੝ ਤਤਕਾਲ ਉਧਾਰੈ ॥

|Har kĝ nĝm ṯaṯkĝl uḝẖĝrai.

|the Name of the Lord shall rescue you in an instant.}}

{{g|ਅਨਿਕ ਜੋਨਿ ਜਨਮੈ ਮਰਿ ਜਾਮ ॥

|Anik jon janmai mar jĝm.

|Through countless incarnations, people are born and die.}}

{{g|ਨਾਮ੝ ਜਪਤ ਪਾਵੈ ਬਿਸ੝ਰਾਮ ॥

|Nĝm japaṯ pĝvai bisrĝm.

|Chanting the Name of the Lord, you shall come to rest in peace.}}

{{g|ਹਉ ਮੈਲਾ ਮਲ੝ ਕਬਹ੝ ਨ ਧੋਵੈ ॥

|Ha­o mailĝ mal kabahu na ḝẖovai.

|The ego is polluted by a filth which can never be washed off.}}

{{g|ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮ੝ ਕੋਟਿ ਪਾਪ ਖੋਵੈ ॥

|Har kĝ nĝm kot pĝp kẖovai.

|The Name of the Lord erases millions of sins.}}

{{g|ਝਸਾ ਨਾਮ੝ ਜਪਹ੝ ਮਨ ਰੰਗਿ ॥

|Aisĝ nĝm japahu man rang.

|Chant such a Name with love, O my mind.}}

{{g|ਨਾਨਕ ਪਾਈਝ ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ॥੩॥

|Nĝnak pĝ­ī­ai sĝḝẖ kai sang. ॥3॥

|O Nanak, it is obtained in the Company of the Holy. ॥3॥}}

|Har kĝ nĝm ūhĝ sang ṯosĝ.

|there, the Name of the Lord shall be your sustenance.}}

{{g|ਜਿਹ ਪੈਡੈ ਮਹਾ ਅੰਧ ਗ੝ਬਾਰਾ ॥

|Jih paidai mahĝ anḝẖ gubĝrĝ.

|On that journey of total, pitch-black darkness,}}

{{g|ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮ੝ ਸੰਗਿ ਉਜੀਆਰਾ ॥

|Har kĝ nĝm sang ujī­ĝrĝ.

|the Name of the Lord shall be the Light with you.}}

{{g|ਜਹਾ ਪੰਥਿ ਤੇਰਾ ਕੋ ਨ ਸਿਞਾਨੂ ॥

|Jahĝ panth ṯėrĝ ko na siñĝnū.

|On that journey where no one knows you,}}

{{g|ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮ੝ ਤਹ ਨਾਲਿ ਪਛਾਨੂ ॥

|Har kĝ nĝm ṯah nĝl pacẖẖĝnū.

|with the Name of the Lord, you shall be recognized.}}

{{g|ਜਹ ਮਹਾ ਭਇਆਨ ਤਪਤਿ ਬਹ੝ ਘਾਮ ॥

|Jah mahĝ bẖa­i­ĝn ṯapaṯ baho gẖĝm.

|Where there is awesome and terrible heat and blazing sunshine,}}

{{g|ਤਹ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਕੀ ਤ੝ਮ ਊਪਰਿ ਛਾਮ ॥

|Ŧah har kė nĝm kī ṯum ūpar cẖẖĝm.

|there, the Name of the Lord will give you shade.}}

{{g|ਜਹਾ ਤ੝ਰਿਖਾ ਮਨ ਤ੝ਝ੝ ਆਕਰਖੈ ॥

|Jahĝ ṯarikẖĝ man ṯujẖ ĝkrakẖai.

|Where thirst, O my mind, torments you to cry out,}}

{{g|ਤਹ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਅੰਮ੝ਰਿਤ੝ ਬਰਖੈ ॥੪॥

|Ŧah Nĝnak har har amriṯ barkẖai. ॥4॥

|there, O Nanak, the Ambrosial Name, Har, Har, shall rain down upon you. ॥4॥}}

{{g|ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਕੈ ਮਨਿ ਬਿਸ੝ਰਾਮ੝ ॥

|Sanṯ janĝ kai man bisrĝm.

|The minds of the humble Saints are at peace.}}

{{g|ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮ੝ ਦਾਸ ਕੀ ਓਟ ॥

|Har kĝ nĝm ḝĝs kī ot.

|The Name of the Lord is the Support of His servants.}}

{{g|ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਨਾਮਿ ਉਧਰੇ ਜਨ ਕੋਟਿ ॥

|Har kai nĝm uḝẖrė jan kot.

|By the Name of the Lord, millions have been saved.}}

{{g|ਹਰਿ ਜਸ੝ ਕਰਤ ਸੰਤ ਦਿਨ੝ ਰਾਤਿ ॥

|Har jas karaṯ sanṯ ḝin rĝṯ.

|The Saints chant the Praises of the Lord, day and night.}}

{{g|ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਅਉਖਧ੝ ਸਾਧ ਕਮਾਤਿ ॥

|Har har a­ukẖaḝẖ sĝḝẖ kamĝṯ.

|Har, Har - the Lord's Name - the Holy use it as their healing medicine.}}

{{g|ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਕੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ੝ ਨਿਧਾਨ੝ ॥

|Har jan kai har nĝm niḝẖĝn.

|The Lord's Name is the treasure of the Lord's servant.}}

{{g|ਪਾਰਬ੝ਰਹਮਿ ਜਨ ਕੀਨੋ ਦਾਨ ॥

|Pĝrbarahm jan kīno ḝĝn.

|The Supreme Lord God has blessed His humble servant with this gift.}}

{{g|ਮਨ ਤਨ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਤੇ ਰੰਗ ਝਕੈ ॥

|Man ṯan rang raṯė rang ėkai.

|Mind and body are imbued with ecstasy in the Love of the One Lord.}}

{{g|ਨਾਨਕ ਜਨ ਕੈ ਬਿਰਤਿ ਬਿਬੇਕੈ ॥੫॥

|Nĝnak jan kai biraṯ bibėkai. ॥5॥

|O Nanak, careful and discerning understanding is the way of the Lord's humble servant. ॥5॥}}

|Har kai nĝm jan ka­o ṯaripaṯ bẖugaṯ.

|With the food of the Name of the Lord, His servants are satisfied.}}

|Har kĝ nĝm jan kĝ rūp rang.

|The Name of the Lord is the beauty and delight of His servants.}}

{{g|ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ੝ ਜਪਤ ਕਬ ਪਰੈ ਨ ਭੰਗ੝ ॥

|Har nĝm japaṯ kab parai na bẖang.

|Chanting the Lord's Name, one is never blocked by obstacles.}}

{{g|ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮ੝ ਜਨ ਕੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥

|Har kĝ nĝm jan kī vadi­ĝ­ī.

|The Name of the Lord is the glorious greatness of His servants.}}

{{g|ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਨਾਮਿ ਜਨ ਸੋਭਾ ਪਾਈ ॥

|Har kai nĝm jan sobẖĝ pĝ­ī.

|Through the Name of the Lord, His servants obtain honor.}}

{{g|ਹਰਿ  ਕਾ  ਨਾਮ੝  ਜਨ  ਕਉ  ਭੋਗ  ਜੋਗ  ॥

|Har kĝ nĝm jan ka­o bẖog jog.

|The Name of the Lord is the enjoyment and Yoga of His servants.}}

{{g|ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ੝ ਜਪਤ ਕਛ੝ ਨਾਹਿ ਬਿਓਗ੝ ॥

|Har nĝm japaṯ kacẖẖ nĝhi bi­og.

|Chanting the Lord's Name, there is no separation from Him.}}

{{g|ਜਨ੝ ਰਾਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ ॥

|Jan rĝṯĝ har nĝm kī sėvĝ.

|His servants are imbued with the service of the Lord's Name.}}

{{g|ਨਾਨਕ ਪੂਜੈ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਦੇਵਾ ॥੬॥

|Nĝnak pūjai har har ḝėvĝ. ॥6॥

|O Nanak, worship the Lord, the Lord Divine, Har, Har. ॥6॥}}

{{g|ਹਰਿ ਧਨ੝ ਜਨ ਕਉ ਆਪਿ ਪ੝ਰਭਿ ਦੀਨਾ ॥

|Har ḝẖan jan ka­o ĝp parabẖ ḝīnĝ.

|The treasure of the Lord has been bestowed on His servants by God Himself.}}

{{g|ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਕੈ ਓਟ ਸਤਾਣੀ ॥

|Har har jan kai ot saṯĝṇī.

|The Lord, Har, Har is the All-powerful Protection of His servants.}}

{{g|ਹਰਿ ਪ੝ਰਤਾਪਿ ਜਨ ਅਵਰ ਨ ਜਾਣੀ ॥

|Har parṯĝp jan avar na jĝṇī.

|His servants know no other than the Lord's Magnificence.}}

{{g|ਓਤਿ ਪੋਤਿ ਜਨ ਹਰਿ ਰਸਿ ਰਾਤੇ ॥

|Oṯ poṯ jan har ras rĝṯė.

|Through and through, His servants are imbued with the Lord's Love.}}

{{g|ਸ੝ੰਨ ਸਮਾਧਿ ਨਾਮ ਰਸ ਮਾਤੇ ॥

|Sunn samĝḝẖ nĝm ras mĝṯė.

|In deepest Samaadhi, they are intoxicated with the essence of the Naam.}}

{{g|ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਜਨ੝ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਪੈ ॥

|Āṯẖ pahar jan har har japai.

|Twenty-four hours a day, His servants chant Har, Har.}}

{{g|ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਭਗਤ੝ ਪ੝ਰਗਟ ਨਹੀ ਛਪੈ ॥

|Har kĝ bẖagaṯ pargat nahī cẖẖapai.

|The devotees of the Lord are known and respected; they do not hide in secrecy.}}

{{g|ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਮ੝ਕਤਿ ਬਹ੝ ਕਰੇ ॥

|Har kī bẖagaṯ mukaṯ baho karė.

|Through devotion to the Lord, many have been liberated.}}

{{g|ਨਾਨਕ ਜਨ ਸੰਗਿ ਕੇਤੇ ਤਰੇ ॥੭॥

|Nĝnak jan sang kėṯė ṯarė. ॥7॥

|O Nanak, along with His servants, many others are saved. ॥7॥}}

{{g|ਕਾਮਧੇਨ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਗ੝ਣ ਗਾਮ ॥

|Kĝmḝẖėn har har guṇ gĝm.

|The Khaamadhayn, the cow of miraculous powers, is the singing of the Glory of the Lord's Name, Har, Har.}}

{{g|ਸਭ ਤੇ ਊਤਮ ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਕਥਾ ॥

|Sabẖ ṯė ūṯam har kī kathĝ.

|Highest of all is the Lord's Speech.}}

{{g|ਨਾਮ੝ ਸ੝ਨਤ ਦਰਦ ਦ੝ਖ ਲਥਾ ॥

|Nĝm sunaṯ ḝaraḝ ḝukẖ lathĝ.

|Hearing the Naam, pain and sorrow are removed.}}

{{g|ਨਾਮ ਕੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਸੰਤ ਰਿਦ ਵਸੈ ॥

|Nĝm kī mahimĝ sanṯ riḝ vasai.

|The Glory of the Naam abides in the hearts of His Saints.}}

{{g|ਸੰਤ ਪ੝ਰਤਾਪਿ ਦ੝ਰਤ੝ ਸਭ੝ ਨਸੈ ॥

|Sanṯ parṯĝp ḝuraṯ sabẖ nasai.

|By the Saints' kind intervention, all guilt is dispelled.}}

{{g|ਸੰਤ ਕਾ ਸੰਗ੝ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਪਾਈਝ ॥

|Sanṯ kĝ sang vadbẖĝgī pĝ­ī­ai.

|The Society of the Saints is obtained by great good fortune.}}

{{g|ਸੰਤ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਨਾਮ੝ ਧਿਆਈਝ ॥

|Sanṯ kī sėvĝ nĝm ḝẖi­ĝ­ī­ai.

|Serving the Saint, one meditates on the Naam.}}

{{g|ਨਾਮ ਤ੝ਲਿ ਕਛ੝ ਅਵਰ੝ ਨ ਹੋਇ ॥

|Nĝm ṯul kacẖẖ avar na ho­ė.

|There is nothing equal to the Naam.}}

{{g|ਨਾਨਕ ਗ੝ਰਮ੝ਖਿ ਨਾਮ੝ ਪਾਵੈ ਜਨ੝ ਕੋਇ ॥੮॥੨॥

|Nĝnak gurmukẖ nĝm pĝvai jan ko­ė. ॥8॥2॥

|O Nanak, rare are those, who, as Gurmukh, obtain the Naam. ॥8॥2॥}}
