| ਸਖ ਨਾਹੀ ਬਹਤੈ ਧਨਿ ਖਾਟੇ ॥
|
| Sukẖ nĝhī bahuṯai ḝẖan kẖĝtė.
|
| There is no peace in earning lots of money.
|
| ਸਖ ਨਾਹੀ ਪੇਖੇ ਨਿਰਤਿ ਨਾਟੇ ॥
|
| Sukẖ nĝhī pėkẖė niraṯ nĝtė.
|
| There is no peace in watching dances and plays.
|
| ਸਖ ਨਾਹੀ ਬਹ ਦੇਸ ਕਮਾਝ ॥
|
| Sukẖ nĝhī baho ḝės kamĝė.
|
| There is no peace in conquering lots of countries.
|
| ਸਰਬ ਸਖਾ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਗਣ ਗਾਝ ॥੧॥
|
| Sarab sukẖĝ har har guṇ gĝė. ॥1॥
|
| All peace comes from singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, Har, Har. ॥1॥
|
| ਸੂਖ ਸਹਜ ਆਨੰਦ ਲਹਹ ॥
|
| Sūkẖ sahj ĝnanḝ lahhu.
|
| You shall obtain peace, poise and bliss,
|
| ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਪਾਈਝ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਗਰਮਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਕਹਹ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
|
| Sĝḝẖsangaṯ pĝīai vadbẖĝgī gurmukẖ har har nĝm kahhu. ॥1॥ rahĝo.
|
when you find the Saadh Sangat, by great good fortune.
As Gurmukh, utter the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. ॥1॥Pause॥

| ਵਿਣ ਸਤਿਗਰ ਪਰਤੀਤਿ ਨ ਆਵਈ ਨਾਮਿ ਨ ਲਾਗੋ ਭਾਉ ॥ ਸਪਨੈ ਸਖ ਨ ਪਾਵਈ ਦਖ ਮਹਿ ਸਵੈ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੨॥
|
| viṇ saṯgur parṯīṯ na ĝvī nĝm na lĝgo bẖĝo. Supnai sukẖ na pĝvī ḝukẖ meh savai samĝė. ॥2॥
|
| Without the True Guru, faith does not come, and love for the Naam is not embraced.
Even in dreams, they find no peace; they sleep immersed in pain. ॥2॥
