This is an India musical raga (composition) that appears in the Sikh tradition from northern India and is part of the Sikh holy scripture called Sri Guru Granth Sahib or SGGS for short. Every raga has a strict set of rules which govern the number of notes that can be used; which notes can be used; and their interplay that has to be adhered to for the composition of a tune.

In the SGGS, the Sikh holy Granth (book) there are a total of 31 raga ("Chapters") compositions and this raga is the fifteenth raga ("Chapter") to appear in the series. The composition in this raga appear on a total of 67 pages from page numbers 728 to 795.

Within this Raag(Chapter) Suhi they used following Sub Sections(Ghar)

Note: It is guru sahib Sovereignty and approach where they might want to skip numbering or some sub Section.

Guru Nanak Sahib Jee used Ghar 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 9, 10.
Guru Amar das Jee used Ghar 1,2,3 and 10
Guru Ramdas Jee used Ghar 1,2,3,5, 6,7, 10
Guru Arjan Dev Jee used Ghar 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,9,10
Further, Bhagat Baani is not assigned any Ghars, as it is not very long, that it would need sub section(Ghar) assignment within raagas.

Suhi is classified in the Ragmala as a ragini of Megha. It was a favourite with Muslims and was considered proper for the hot season. Today this raga belongs to the Kah thata and its performance time is late morning. In the Holy Book one variant is given, Raga Suhi Lalit. Suhi was used by Guru Nanak, Guru Angad, Guru Amar Das, Guru Ram Das and Guru Arjan for 130 hymns, a var plus many slokas.
