| ਸਰਮ ਖੰਡ ਕੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਰੂਪ ॥ |
| Saram kẖand kī baṇī rūp. |
| In the realm of humility, the Word is Beauty. |
| ਤਿਥੈ ਘਾੜਤਿ ਘੜੀਝ ਬਹਤ ਅਨੂਪ ॥ |
| Ŧithai gẖĝṛaṯ gẖaṛī▫ai bahuṯ anūp. |
| Forms of incomparable beauty are fashioned there. |
| ਤਾ ਕੀਆ ਗਲਾ ਕਥੀਆ ਨਾ ਜਾਹਿ ॥ |
| Ŧĝ kī▫ĝ galĝ kathī▫ĝ nĝ jĝhi. |
| These things cannot be described. |
| ਜੇ ਕੋ ਕਹੈ ਪਿਛੈ ਪਛਤਾਇ ॥ |
| Je ko kahai picẖẖai pacẖẖuṯĝ▫e. |
| One who tries to speak of these shall regret the attempt. |
| ਤਿਥੈ ਘੜੀਝ ਸਰਤਿ ਮਤਿ ਮਨਿ ਬਧਿ ॥ |
| Ŧithai gẖaṛī▫ai suraṯ maṯ man buḝẖ. |
| The intuitive consciousness, intellect and understanding of the mind are shaped there. |
| ਤਿਥੈ ਘੜੀਝ ਸਰਾ ਸਿਧਾ ਕੀ ਸਧਿ ॥੩੬॥ |
| Ŧithai gẖaṛī▫ai surĝ siḝẖĝ kī suḝẖ. ((36)) |
| The consciousness of the spiritual warriors and the Siddhas, the beings of spiritual perfection, are shaped there. ((36)) |
| ਕਰਮ ਖੰਡ ਕੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਜੋਰ ॥ |
| Karam kẖand kī baṇī jor. |
| In the realm of karma, the Word is Power. |
| ਤਿਥੈ ਹੋਰ ਨ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ॥ |
| Ŧithai hor na ko▫ī hor. |
| No one else dwells there, |
| ਤਿਥੈ ਜੋਧ ਮਹਾਬਲ ਸੂਰ ॥ |
| Ŧithai joḝẖ mahĝbal sūr. |
| except the warriors of great power, the spiritual heroes. |
| ਤਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਰਾਮ ਰਹਿਆ ਭਰਪੂਰ ॥ |
| Ŧin mėh rĝm rahi▫ĝ bẖarpūr. |
| They are totally fulfilled, imbued with the Lord's Essence. |
| ਤਿਥੈ ਸੀਤੋ ਸੀਤਾ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਮਾਹਿ ॥ |
| Ŧithai sīṯo sīṯĝ mahimĝ mĝhi. |
| Myriads of Sitas are there, cool and calm in their majestic glory. |
| ਤਾ ਕੇ ਰੂਪ ਨ ਕਥਨੇ ਜਾਹਿ ॥ |
| Ŧĝ ke rūp na kathne jĝhi. |
| Their beauty cannot be described. |
| ਨਾ ਓਹਿ ਮਰਹਿ ਨ ਠਾਗੇ ਜਾਹਿ ॥ |
| Nĝ ohi marėh na ṯẖĝge jĝhi. |
| Neither death nor deception comes to those, |
| ਜਿਨ ਕੈ ਰਾਮ ਵਸੈ ਮਨ ਮਾਹਿ ॥ |
| Jin kai rĝm vasai man mĝhi. |
| within whose minds the Lord abides. |
| ਤਿਥੈ ਭਗਤ ਵਸਹਿ ਕੇ ਲੋਅ ॥ |
| Ŧithai bẖagaṯ vasėh ke lo▫a. |
| The devotees of many worlds dwell there. |
| ਕਰਹਿ ਅਨੰਦ ਸਚਾ ਮਨਿ ਸੋਇ ॥ |
| Karahi anand sacẖĝ man so▫e. |
| They celebrate; their minds are imbued with the True Lord. |
| ਸਚ ਖੰਡਿ ਵਸੈ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰ ॥ |
| Sacẖ kẖand vasai nirankĝr. |
| In the realm of Truth, the Formless Lord abides. |
| ਕਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਵੇਖੈ ਨਦਰਿ ਨਿਹਾਲ ॥ |
| Kar kar vekẖai naḝar nihĝl. |
| Having created the creation, He watches over it. By His Glance of Grace, He bestows happiness. |
| ਤਿਥੈ ਖੰਡ ਮੰਡਲ ਵਰਭੰਡ ॥ |
| Ŧithai kẖand mandal varbẖand. |
| There are planets, solar systems and galaxies. |
| ਜੇ ਕੋ ਕਥੈ ਤ ਅੰਤ ਨ ਅੰਤ ॥ |
| Je ko kathai ṯa anṯ na anṯ. |
| If one speaks of them, there is no limit, no end. |
| ਤਿਥੈ ਲੋਅ ਲੋਅ ਆਕਾਰ ॥ |
| Ŧithai lo▫a lo▫a ĝkĝr. |
| There are worlds upon worlds of His Creation. |
| ਜਿਵ ਜਿਵ ਹਕਮ ਤਿਵੈ ਤਿਵ ਕਾਰ ॥ |
| Jiv jiv hukam ṯivai ṯiv kĝr. |
| As He commands, so they exist. |
| ਵੇਖੈ ਵਿਗਸੈ ਕਰਿ ਵੀਚਾਰ ॥ |
| vekẖai vigsai kar vīcẖĝr. |
| He watches over all, and contemplating the creation, He rejoices. |
| ਨਾਨਕ ਕਥਨਾ ਕਰੜਾ ਸਾਰ ॥੩੭॥ |
| Nĝnak kathnĝ karṛĝ sĝr. ((37)) |
| O Nanak, to describe this is as hard as steel! ((37)) |
| ਜਤ ਪਾਹਾਰਾ ਧੀਰਜ ਸਨਿਆਰ ॥ |
| Jaṯ pĝhĝrĝ ḝẖīraj suni▫ĝr. |
| Let self-control be the furnace, and patience the goldsmith. |
| ਅਹਰਣਿ ਮਤਿ ਵੇਦ ਹਥੀਆਰ ॥ |
| Ahraṇ maṯ veḝ hathī▫ĝr. |
| Let understanding be the anvil, and spiritual wisdom the tools. |
| ਭਉ ਖਲਾ ਅਗਨਿ ਤਪ ਤਾਉ ॥ |
| Bẖa▫o kẖalĝ agan ṯap ṯĝ▫o. |
| With the Fear of God as the bellows, fan the flames of tapa, the body's inner heat. |
| ਭਾਂਡਾ ਭਾਉ ਅੰਮਰਿਤ ਤਿਤ ਢਾਲਿ ॥ |
| Bẖĝʼndĝ bẖĝ▫o amriṯ ṯiṯ dẖĝl. |
| In the crucible of love, melt the Nectar of the Name, |
| ਘੜੀਝ ਸਬਦ ਸਚੀ ਟਕਸਾਲ ॥ |
| Gẖaṛī▫ai sabaḝ sacẖī taksĝl. |
| and mint the True Coin of the Shabad, the Word of God. |
| ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰਮ ਤਿਨ ਕਾਰ ॥ |
| Jin ka▫o naḝar karam ṯin kĝr. |
| Such is the karma of those upon whom He has cast His Glance of Grace. |
| ਨਾਨਕ ਨਦਰੀ ਨਦਰਿ ਨਿਹਾਲ ॥੩੮॥ |
| Nĝnak naḝrī naḝar nihĝl. ((38)) |
| O Nanak, the Merciful Lord, by His Grace, uplifts and exalts them. ((38)) |

| Shalok: |
| ਪਵਣ ਗਰੂ ਪਾਣੀ ਪਿਤਾ ਮਾਤਾ ਧਰਤਿ ਮਹਤ ॥ |
| Pavaṇ gurū pĝṇī piṯĝ mĝṯĝ ḝẖaraṯ mahaṯ. |
| Air is the Guru, Water is the Father, and Earth is the Great Mother of all. |
| ਦਿਵਸ ਰਾਤਿ ਦਇ ਦਾਈ ਦਾਇਆ ਖੇਲੈ ਸਗਲ ਜਗਤ ॥ |
| Ḏivas rĝṯ ḝu▫e ḝĝ▫ī ḝĝ▫i▫ĝ kẖelai sagal jagaṯ. |
| Day and night are the two nurses, in whose lap all the world is at play. |
| ਚੰਗਿਆਈਆ ਬਰਿਆਈਆ ਵਾਚੈ ਧਰਮ ਹਦੂਰਿ ॥ |
| Cẖang▫ĝ▫ī▫ĝ buri▫ĝ▫ī▫ĝ vĝcẖai ḝẖaram haḝūr. |
| Good deeds and bad deeds-the record is read out in the Presence of the Lord of Dharma. |
| ਕਰਮੀ ਆਪੋ ਆਪਣੀ ਕੇ ਨੇੜੈ ਕੇ ਦੂਰਿ ॥ |
| Karmī ĝpo ĝpṇī ke neṛai ke ḝūr. |
| According to their own actions, some are drawn closer, and some are driven farther away. |
| ਜਿਨੀ ਨਾਮ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਗਝ ਮਸਕਤਿ ਘਾਲਿ ॥ |
| Jinī nĝm ḝẖi▫ĝ▫i▫ĝ ga▫e maskaṯ gẖĝl. |
| Those who have meditated on the Naam, the Name of the Lord, and departed after having worked by the sweat of their brows - |
| ਨਾਨਕ ਤੇ ਮਖ ਉਜਲੇ ਕੇਤੀ ਛਟੀ ਨਾਲਿ ॥੧॥ |
| Nĝnak ṯe mukẖ ujle keṯī cẖẖutī nĝl. ((1)) |
| O Nanak, their faces are radiant in the Court of the Lord, and many are saved along with them! ((1)) |
| ਸੋ ਦਰ ਰਾਗ ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ ੧ |
| So ḝar rĝg ĝsĝ mėhlĝ 1 |
| So Dar ~ That Door. Raag Aasaa, First Mehl: |
| ੴ ਸਤਿਗਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ |
| Ik▫oaʼnkĝr saṯgur parsĝḝ. |
| One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru: |
| ਸੋ ਦਰ ਤੇਰਾ ਕੇਹਾ ਸੋ ਘਰ ਕੇਹਾ ਜਿਤ ਬਹਿ ਸਰਬ ਸਮਾਲੇ ॥ |
| So ḝar ṯerĝ kehĝ so gẖar kehĝ jiṯ bahi sarab samĝle. |
| Where is That Door of Yours, and where is That Home, in which You sit and take care of all? |
| ਵਾਜੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਦ ਅਨੇਕ ਅਸੰਖਾ ਕੇਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਾਵਣਹਾਰੇ ॥ |
| vĝje ṯere nĝḝ anek asankẖĝ keṯe ṯere vĝvaṇhĝre. |
| The Sound-current of the Naad vibrates there for You, and countless musicians play all sorts of instruments there for You. |
| ਕੇਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਰਾਗ ਪਰੀ ਸਿਉ ਕਹੀਅਹਿ ਕੇਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਗਾਵਣਹਾਰੇ ॥ |
| Keṯe ṯere rĝg parī si▫o kahī▫ahi keṯe ṯere gĝvaṇhĝre. |
| There are so many Ragas and musical harmonies to You; so many minstrels sing hymns of You. |
| ਗਾਵਨਿ ਤਧਨੋ ਪਵਣ ਪਾਣੀ ਬੈਸੰਤਰ ਗਾਵੈ ਰਾਜਾ ਧਰਮ ਦਆਰੇ ॥ |
| Gĝvan ṯuḝẖno pavaṇ pĝṇī baisanṯar gĝvai rĝjĝ ḝẖaram ḝu▫ĝre. |
| Wind, water and fire sing of You. The Righteous Judge of Dharma sings at Your Door. |
| ਗਾਵਨਿ ਤਧਨੋ ਚਿਤ ਗਪਤ ਲਿਖਿ ਜਾਣਨਿ ਲਿਖਿ ਲਿਖਿ ਧਰਮ ਬੀਚਾਰੇ ॥ |
| Gĝvan ṯuḝẖno cẖiṯ gupaṯ likẖ jĝṇan likẖ likẖ ḝẖaram bīcẖĝre. |
| Chitr and Gupt, the angels of the conscious and the subconscious who keep the record of actions, and the Righteous Judge of Dharma who reads this record, sing of You. |
| ਗਾਵਨਿ ਤਧਨੋ ਈਸਰ ਬਰਹਮਾ ਦੇਵੀ ਸੋਹਨਿ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਦਾ ਸਵਾਰੇ ॥ |
| Gĝvan ṯuḝẖno īsar barahmĝ ḝevī sohan ṯere saḝĝ savĝre. |
| Shiva, Brahma and the Goddess of Beauty, ever adorned by You, sing of You. |
| ਗਾਵਨਿ ਤਧਨੋ ਇੰਦਰ ਇੰਦਰਾਸਣਿ ਬੈਠੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆ ਦਰਿ ਨਾਲੇ ॥ |
| Gĝvan ṯuḝẖno inḝar inḝarĝsaṇ baiṯẖe ḝeviṯi▫ĝ ḝar nĝle. |
| Indra, seated on His Throne, sings of You, with the deities at Your Door. |
| ਗਾਵਨਿ ਤਧਨੋ ਸਿਧ ਸਮਾਧੀ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਗਾਵਨਿ ਤਧਨੋ ਸਾਧ ਬੀਚਾਰੇ ॥ |
| Gĝvan ṯuḝẖno siḝẖ samĝḝẖī anḝar gĝvan ṯuḝẖno sĝḝẖ bīcẖĝre. |
| The Siddhas in Samaadhi sing of You; the Saadhus sing of You in contemplation. |
