• ਜਿਸਦy ਨਾਲ (is dunian ton) ਲੰਘ javynga (javan saukhyਲਾ ॥
• ਨਾ ਸਰoਵਰ (rahyga aty) ਨਾ (ih) ਊਛਲੈਗa, (is taran) rasta (jaman) saukha(ban jayga)॥1॥
• ਤੇਰy iਕ (hi) ਨਾਮ, 'ਸਚ'(bakian dee mainu lod nahin) dee ਮੰਜੀਠ de (pakky rang vich) ਰangia ਮੇਰਾ mun aty tun, ਸਦa ਰੰਗeely (mast) khasam (varga ban gaia hai)॥1॥

HUMILITY IS THE QUINTESSENCE OF ALL VIRTUES, SOCIAL ACCEPTANCE & HONORS

• hasath akhaaj gumaan kar seehu sathaanaa koe n khaaee||

The proud elephant is inedible and none eats the mighty lion

• hoe nimaanee bakaree dheen dhunee vaddiaaee paaee||.

Goat is humble and hence it is respected everywhere.

• maranai paranai manneeai jag bhog paravaan karaaee||

On occasions of death, joy, marriage, yajna, etc only its meat is accepted.

• maas pavithraur grihasath no aaandhahu thaar veechaar vajaaee||

 Among the householders its meat is acknowledged as sacred and with its gut stringed instruments are made

•  chamarrae dheeaaan kar jutheeaa saadhhoo charan saran liv laaee||.

From its leather shoes are made to be used by the saints merged in their meditation upon the Lord

•  thoor pakhaavaj marreedhae keerathan saadhhasangath sukhadhaaee||

Drums are mounted by its skin and then in the holy congregation the delight-giving kirtan, eulogy of the Lord is sung

•  saadhhasangath sathigur saranaaee ||aa||

In fact, going to the holy congregation is the same as going to the shelter of the true Guru. Bacckground Bhai Gurdaas ji appear to have Changed the Theme of some original Vedic writing which implies that No one dare kill Elephants or lions for food & sacrifices. Even (vedic)GODs likes to kill only the weak & meek. VEDIC THEME FOR SURVIVAL LIVE LIKE A LION & .NOT. repeat .NOT. LIKE a meek & weak goat.
