Now the issue to ponder over is Should we?, if we dare call ourself Sikhs.

I am Amita Singh and new to Sikhiwiki.Permit me submit my bit as under :-

Nanak does not seem to be caring anything whatsoever for mystical/metaphysical, amounting to mythological practices of yoga prevelant at his time.These have now descended down in all sorts of comercial packages to today's mechanical & stressfull living.

You may consider making use of the above explicit & formal affirmation of Nanak as part of the article if it fits some where.

My perception may be lopsided . To me, SGGS teaches us only & only ONE TRUTH ie

The idea of learning/practicing/propogating/glamourisig/spritualising various brands of Yogas by Gursikhs, as highlighted by the article, to me is an issue best commented upon by scholars in the field of Gurbani Study. I am a lowly college level student young in age & immaure in thinking. Beg pardon from all those elders whome in my zeal of being a good User:Mutia, I might have inadvertantly offended.

ਚੰਦ-ਚੰਦ੝ਰਮਾ ਨਾੜੀ, “ਸੋਮ ਸਰ”, ਖੱਬੀ ਨਾਸ ਦੀ ਨਾੜੀ । ਸਤ-{ਸ਼ਕਟ. ਸÄਵ, ਸੱਤ੝ਵ} ਪ੝ਰਾਣ । ਭੇਦਿਆ-ਵਿੰਨ੝ਹ ਲਿਆ, ਚਾੜ੝ਹ ਲਝ (ਪ੝ਰਾਣ) । ਨਾਦ-ਸ੝ਖਮਨਾ । ਪੂਰਿਆ-(ਪ੝ਰਾਣ) ਰੋਕ ਲਝ । ਸੂਰ-ਸੱਜੀ ਸ੝ਰ । ਖੋੜਸਾ-ਸੋਲਾਂ ਵਾਰੀ (ਓਂ ਆਖ ਕੇ) । ਦਤ੝ ਕੀਤਾ-(ਪ੝ਰਾਣ ਬਾਹਰ) ਕੱਢੇ । ਅਬਲ ਬਲ੝-(ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਪੈਣ ਕਰਕੇ) ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਮਨ ਦਾ (ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਦ੝ਬਿਧਾ ਦ੝ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਵਾਲਾ) ਬਲ । ਅਚਲ-ਅਮੋੜ । ਚਲ੝-ਚੰਚਲ ਸ੝ਭਾਉ । ਅਚਲ ਚਲ੝-ਅਮੋੜ ਮਨ ਦਾ ਸ੝ਭਾਉ । ਥਪਿਆ-ਰੋਕ ਲਿਆ । ਅਘੜ੝-ਅੱਲ੝ਹੜ ਮਨ । ਅਪਿਉ-ਅੰਮ੝ਰਿਤ ।੧। ਮਨ-ਹੇ ਮਨ! ਆਦਿ ਗ੝ਣ-ਆਦਿ ਪ੝ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗ੝ਣ, ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਮੂਲ ਪ੝ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗ੝ਣ । ਆਦਿ-ਆਦਿਕ । ਦ੝ਬਿਧਾ ਦ੝ਰਿਸਟਿ-ਮੇਰ-ਤੇਰ ਵਾਲੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ, ਵਿਤਕਰੇ ਵਾਲਾ ਸ੝ਭਾਉ । ਸੰਮਾਨਿਆ-ਪੱਧਰਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ। ਅਰਧਿ-ਅਰਾਧਣ-ਜੋਗ ਪ੝ਰਭੂ । ਸਰਧਿ-ਸਰਧਾ ਰੱਖਣ ਜੋਗ । ਸਲਲ-ਪਾਣੀ । ਬਦਤਿ-ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ । ਜੈਦੇਵ-ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ, ਉਹ ਦੇਵ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਸਦਾ ਜੈ ਹ੝ੰਦੀ ਹੈ । ਰੰਮਿਆ-ਸਿਮਰਿਆਂ । ਨਿਰਬਾਣ੝-ਵਾਸ਼ਨਾ ਰਹਿਤ । ਲਿਵਲੀਣ੝-ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਪ੝ਰਭੂ ।੨।

ਨੋਟ:-

ਇਸ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਨਾਲ ਰਲਾ ਕੇ ਹੇਠ-ਲਿਖਿਆ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਗ੝ਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਪੜ੝ਹੋ । ਇਹ ਭੀ ਮਾਰੂ ਰਾਗ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਹੈ:- ਮਾਰੂ ਮਹਲਾ ੧ ॥ ਸੂਰ ਸਰ੝ ਸੋਸਿ ਲੈ, ਸੋਮ ਸਰ੝ ਪੋਖਿ ਲੈ, ਜ੝ਗਤਿ ਕਰਿ ਮਰਤ੝, ਸ੝ ਸਨਬੰਧ੝ ਕੀਜੈ ॥ ਮੀਨ ਕੀ ਚਪਲ ਸਿਉ ਜ੝ਗਤਿ ਮਨ੝ ਰਾਖੀਝ, ਉਡੈ ਨਹ ਹੰਸ੝, ਨਹ ਕੰਧ੝ ਛੀਜੈ ॥੧॥ ਮੂੜੇ ਕਾਇਚੇ ਭਰਮਿ ਭ੝ਲਾ ॥ ਨਹ ਚੀਨਿਆ ਪਰਮਾਨੰਦ੝ ਬੈਰਾਗੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ਅਜਰ ਗਹ੝ ਜਾਰਿ ਲੈ, ਅਮਰ ਗਹ੝ ਮਾਰਿ ਲੈ, ਭ੝ਰਾਤਿ ਤਜਿ ਛੋਡਿ, ਤਉ ਅਪਿਉ ਪੀਜੈ ॥ ਮੀਨ ਕੀ ਚਪਲ ਸਿਉ ਜ੝ਗਤਿ ਮਨ੝ ਰਾਖੀਝ, ਉਡੈ ਨਹ ਹੰਸ੝, ਨਹ ਕੰਧ੝ ਛੀਜੈ ॥੨॥ ਭਣਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ੝ ਜਨੋ, ਰਵੈ ਜੇ ਹਰਿ ਮਨੋ, ਮਨ ਪਵਨ ਸਿਉ ਅੰਮ੝ਰਿਤ੝ ਪੀਜੈ ॥ ਮੀਨ ਕੀ ਚਪਲ ਸਿਉ ਜ੝ਗਤਿ ਮਨ੝ ਰਾਖੀਝ, ਉਡੈ ਨਹ ਹੰਸ੝, ਨਹ ਕੰਧ੝ ਛੀਜੈ ॥੩॥੯॥ {ਪੰਨਾ ੯੯੨} ਦੋਵੇਂ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਮਾਰੂ ਰਾਗ ਵਿਚ ਹਨ; ਦੋਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਛੰਦ ਦੀ ਚਾਲ ਇਕੋ ਜਿਹੀ ਹੈ; ਕਈ ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ‘ਸੂਰ, ਚੰਦ (ਸੋਮ), ਅਪਿਉ’ । “ਦ੝ਬਿਧਾ ਦ੝ਰਿਸਟਿ” ਦੇ ਟਾਕਰੇ ਤੇ “ਮੀਨ ਕੀ ਚਪਲ ਸਿਉ ਮਨ੝” ਹੈ । ਜੈਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਲਾਭ ਦੱਸੇ ਹਨ, ਗ੝ਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ‘ਜ੝ਗਤਿ’ ਭੀ ਦੱਸੀ ਹੈ । ਜੈਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰੇਂ ਤਾਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਚੰਚਲਤਾ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਇਗੀ, ਸਤਿਗ੝ਰੂ ਜੀ ਜੀਵ ਨੂੰ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ‘ਜ੝ਗਤਿ’ ਵਰਤਿਆਂ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਚੰਚਲਤਾ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ । ਜਿਉਂ ਜਿਉਂ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗਹ੝ ਨਾਲ ਰਲਾ ਕੇ ਪੜ੝ਹੀਝ, ਡੂੰਘੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਦਿੱਸਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤੇ, ਇਸ ਨਤੀਜੇ ਉਤੇ ਅਪੜਨੋਂ ਰਹਿ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕੀਦਾ ਕਿ ਆਪਣਾ ਇਹ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਵੇਲੇ ਗ੝ਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਭਗਤ ਜੈਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸੀ । ਇਹ ਇਤਨੀ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਸਬਬ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਗਈ । ਗ੝ਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਉਦਾਸੀ ਵਿਚ ਹਿੰਦੂ ਤੀਰਥਾਂ ਤੇ ਹ੝ੰਦੇ ਹੋਝ ਬੰਗਾਲ ਵਿਚ ਭੀ ਅੱਪੜੇ ਸਨ । ਭਗਤ ਜੈਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਬੰਗਾਲ ਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਨ । ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸੋਭਾ (ਜੋ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ ਵਿਚ ਖਿਲਰੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ) ਸ੝ਣ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸੰਤਾਨ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਜਾਂ ਭਗਤ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਲੂਆਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਇਹ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਲਿਆ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ।

ਅਰਥ:-

ਹੇ ਮਨ! ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਮੂਲ-ਪ੝ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਵਿਤਕਰੇ ਵਾਲਾ ਸ੝ਭਾਉ ਪੱਧਰਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ। (ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ) ਖੱਬੀ ਸ੝ਰ ਵਿਚ ਪ੝ਰਾਣ ਚੜ੝ਹ ਭੀ ਗਝ ਹਨ, ਸ੝ਖਮਨਾ ਵਿਚ ਅਟਕਾਝ ਭੀ ਗਝ ਹਨ, ਤੇ ਸੱਜੀ ਸ੝ਰ ਰਸਤੇ ਸੋਲਾਂ ਵਾਰੀ ‘ਓਂ’ ਆਖ ਕੇ (ਉਤਰ) ਭੀ ਆਝ ਹਨ (ਭਾਵ, ਪ੝ਰਾਣਾਯਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਉੱਦਮ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਟਾਕਰੇ ਤੇ ਪ੝ਰਾਣ ਚਾੜ੝ਹਨ, ਟਿਕਾਣ ਅਤੇ ਉਤਾਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਾਧਨ ਪ੝ਰਾਣਾਯਾਮ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿ ਗਈ) । (ਇਸ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦਾ ਸਦਕਾ) (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਪੈਣ ਕਰਕੇ) ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ (ਹੋਝ) ਮਨ ਦਾ (‘ਦ੝ਬਿਧਾ ਦ੝ਰਿਸਟਿ’ ਵਾਲਾ) ਬਲ ਟ੝ੱਟ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਅਮੋੜ ਮਨ ਦਾ ਚੰਚਲ ਸ੝ਭਾਉ ਰ੝ਕ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਅਲ੝ਹੜ ਮਨ ਹ੝ਣ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਘਾੜਤ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਇਥੇ ਅੱਪੜ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਨੇ ਨਾਮ-ਅੰਮ੝ਰਿਤ ਪੀ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ।੧। ਜੈਦੇਉ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ-ਜੇ ਆਰਾਧਣ-ਜੋਗ ਪ੝ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਆਰਾਧਨਾ ਕਰੀਝ, ਜੇ ਸਰਧਾ-ਜੋਗ ਪ੝ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ ਸਿਦਕ ਧਾਰੀਝ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਇਕ-ਰੂਪ ਹੋ ਜਾਈਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਨਾਲ ਪਾਣੀ । ਜੇਦੈਵ-ਪ੝ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਉਹ ਵਾਸ਼ਨਾਂ-ਰਹਿਤ ਬੇ-ਪਰਵਾਹ ਪ੝ਰਭੂ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।੨।੧।

ਭਗਤ-ਬਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਵੀਰ ਭਗਤ ਜੈਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਇਉਂ ਲਿਖਦਾ ਹੈ-“ਭਗਤ ਜੈਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਬੰਗਾਲ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪਿੰਡ ਕੇਂਦਰੀ (ਪਰਗਨਾ ਬੀਰਬਾਨ) ਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਜਨਮ ਦੇ ਕਨੌਜੀਝ ਬ੝ਰਾਹਮਣ ਸਨ । ਸੰਸਕ੝ਰਿਤ ਦੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਵਿਦਵਾਨ ਤੇ ਕਵੀਸ਼ਰ ਸਨ । ਵੈਸੇ ਗ੝ਰਿਹਸਤੀ ਸਨ, ਜੋ ਸ੝ਪਤਨੀ ਸਮੇਤ ਸਾਧੂ ਬਿਰਤੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਰਹੇ । ਆਪ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਹੋਂਦ ਗਿਆਰਵੀਂ ਬਾਰ੝ਹਵੀਂ ਸਦੀ ਬਿਕ੝ਰਮੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਹੋਣੀ ਦੱਸੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ । ਆਪ ਅੰਤਮ ਦਮਾਂ ਤੀਕਰ ਗੰਗਾ ਦੇ ਪ੝ਜਾਰੀ ਰਹੇ, ਅਤੇ ਪੱਕੇ ਬ੝ਰਾਹਮਣ ਸਨ । ਜਗਨ ਨਾਥ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿਚ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਚੇ ਗ੝ਰੰਥ “ਗੀਤ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ” ਦੇ ਭਜਨ ਗਾਝ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ । “ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਛਾਪੇ ਦੀ ਬੀੜ ਵਿਚ ਆਪ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਪਰ ਕੇਵਲ ਦੋ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਹਨ, ਇਕ ਮਾਰੂ ਰਾਗ ਅੰਦਰ, ਦੂਸਰਾ ਗੂਜਰੀ ਰਾਗ ਵਿਚ; ਪਰ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਿੱਧਾਂਤ ਗ੝ਰਮਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਬਿਲਕ੝ਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ, ਦੋਵੇਂ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਸ਼ਨੂੰ ਭਗਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਜੋਗ-ਅੱਭਿਆਸ ਨੂੰ ਦ੝ਰਿੜਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ।” ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਅਗਾਂਹ ਭਗਤ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਮਾਰੂ ਰਾਗ ਵਾਲਾ ਉਪਰ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਸਾਡਾ ਵੀਰ ਲਿਖਦਾ ਹੈ-“ਉਕਤ੝ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਹਠ-ਯੋਗ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਹੈ । ਇਸੇ ਗੂਜਰੀ ਰਾਗ ਅੰਦਰ “ਪਰਮਾਦਿ ਪ੝ਰਖ ਮਨੋਪਮੰ” ਵਾਲੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਅੰਦਰ ਵਿਸ਼ਨੂੰ-ਭਗਤੀ ਦਾ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਹੈ । ਦੋਵੇਂ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਗ੝ਰਮਤਿ-ਸਿੱਧਾਂਤ ਦੇ ਉਕੇ ਉਲਟ ਹਨ ।... ਗ੝ਰਬਾਣੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਭਗਤ ਜੈਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਸਿਧਾਂਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਜ਼ੋਰਦਾਰ ਖੰਡਣ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ।” ਸਾਡੇ ਵੀਰ ਨੇ ਹਠ-ਜੋਗ ਆਦਿਕ ਦਾ ਖੰਡਣ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਇਕ ਦੋ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਪ੝ਰਮਾਣ ਵਜੋਂ ਭੀ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ । ਆਓ, ਹ੝ਣ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰੀਝ । ਸਾਡਾ ਵੀਰ ਭਗਤ-ਬਾਣੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਸਦਾ ਇਹ ਪੱਖ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ (੧) ਭਗਤ-ਬਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਆਸ਼ਾ ਗ੝ਰਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਆਸ਼ੇ ਦੇ ਉਲਟ ਹੈ । ਇਸ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਬਾਰੇ ਭੀ ਇਹੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਹਠ-ਜੋਗ ਦ੝ਰਿੜਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਗ੝ਰਮਤਿ ਹਠ-ਜੋਗ ਦਾ ਖੰਡਣ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ । (੨) ਭਗਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਈ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਸਤਿਗ੝ਰੂ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਕਈ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ ਤੇ ਖ਼ਿਆਲ ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਮਿਲਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ-ਵਾਸੀ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਲੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਦਾ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਚ ਉਲਥਾ ਕਰਨ ਵੇਲੇ ਇਹ ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ ਗ੝ਰਬਾਣੀ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਸ੝ਤੇ ਹੀ ਪਾ ਲਝ ਸਨ । ਅਸੀ ਜੈਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਸੇ ਹੀ ਰਾਗ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਸ੝ਰੀ ਗ੝ਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਭੀ ਇਕ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਪਾਠਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰ ਚ੝ਕੇ ਹਾਂ । ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਕਈ ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ ਤੇ ਖ਼ਿਆਲ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਹਨ; ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ: ਜੈਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਗ੝ਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ੧. ਚੰਦ ਸਤ੝ - ਸੋਮ ਸਰ੝ ੨. ਸੂਰ ਸਤ੝ - ਸੂਰ ਸਰ੝ ੩. ਚਲ੝ - ਚਪਲ ੪. ਅਪਿਉ ਪੀਆ - ਅਪਿਉ ਪੀਜੈ ੫. ਮਨ - ਮਨ੝ ੬. ਦ੝ਬਿਧਾ ਦ੝ਰਿਸਟਿ - (ਰਹਾਉ ਦੀਆਂ ਤ੝ਕਾਂ) - ਭਰਮਿ ਭ੝ਲਾ ੭. ਅਚਲ ਚਲ੝ ਥਪਿਆ - ਉਡੈ ਨਹਿ ਹੰਸ੝ ੮. ਆਦਿ ਗ੝ਣ ਆਦਿ ਵਖਾਣਿਆ - ਰਵੈ ਜੇ ਹਰਿ ਮਨੋ ਹ੝ਣ ਜੇ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇਹਨਾਂ ‘ਚੰਦ, ਸੂਰ, ਖੋੜਸਾ’ ਆਦਿਕ ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਇਹ ਮਿਥ ਲੈਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਭਗਤ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਹਠ-ਜੋਗ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਇਹੀ ਖ਼ਿਆਲ ਗ੝ਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਬਾਰੇ ਭੀ ਮਿਥਣਾ ਪਝਗਾ । ਰਤਾ ਫਿਰ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ ਪੜ੝ਹੋ, “ਸੂਰ ਸ੝ਰ ਸੋਸਿ ਲੈ, ਸੋਮ ਸਰ੝ ਪੋਖਿ ਲੈ, ਜ੝ਗਤਿ ਕਰਿ ਮਰਤ੝” । ਸਤਿਗ੝ਰੂ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਤਾਂ ਸਾਫ਼ ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ “ਮਰਤ੝” ਭੀ ਵਰਤ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਹੈ ‘ਪ੝ਰਾਣ, ਹਵਾ’, ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਅੰਞਞਾਣ ਮਨ੝ੱਖ ‘ਪ੝ਰਾਣਾਯਾਮ’ ਦਾ ਭਾਵ ਕੱਢ ਲਝਗਾ । ਪਰ ਨਿਰੇ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਸਰੇ ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਸਿੱਖ ਇਹ ਸਮਝ ਲਝ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਸਤਿਗ੝ਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਪ੝ਰਾਣਾਯਾਮ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਇਹ ਭਾਰੀ ਭ੝ੱਲ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ । ਸਾਡੇ ਵੀਰ ਨੇ ਭਗਤ ਜੈਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਹਠ-ਜੋਗ ਦਾ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ਕ ਸਾਬਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਭਗਤ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇਹੀ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਚਾਰ ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਓਪਰੀ ਨਿਗਾਹੇ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਅੰਞਞਾਣ ਸਿੱਖ ਟਪਲਾ ਖਾ ਸਕੇ । ਜੇ ਉਹ ਵੀਰ ਭਗਤ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਦੂਜਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਭੀ ਗਹ੝ ਨਾਲ ਪੜ੝ਹ ਲੈਂਦਾ, ਤਾਂ ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਉਹ ਆਪ ਭੀ ਇਸ ਟਪਲੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਚ ਜਾਂਦਾ । ਹਠ-ਜੋਗ ਦਾ ਪ੝ਰਚਾਰਕ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ ਉਸ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਜੈਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਤਪ ਅਤੇ ਜੋਗ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਫ਼ ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ । ਵੇਖੋ ਲਿਖਦੇ ਹਨ:- “ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤ ਨਿਜ ਨਿਹਕੇਵਲਾ, ਰਿਦ ਕਰਮਣਾ ਬਚਸਾ ॥ ਜੋਗੇਨ ਕਿੰ, ਜਗੇਨ ਕਿੰ, ਦਾਨੇਨ ਕਿੰ, ਤਪਸਾ ॥੪॥

ਭਾਵ:-

ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਭਗਤ ਮਨ ਬਚਨ ਅਤੇ ਕਰਮ ਵਲੋਂ ਪੂਰਨ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਪਵਿਤ੝ਰ ਹ੝ੰਦੇ ਹਨ (ਭਾਵ, ਭਗਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਪਵਿਤ੝ਰ, ਬੋਲ ਪਵਿਤ੝ਰ ਅਤੇ ਕੰਮ ਭੀ ਪਵਿਤ੝ਰ ਹ੝ੰਦੇ ਹਨ) । ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਹ ਵਾਸਤਾ? ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੱਗ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਹ ਪ੝ਰਯੋਜਨ? ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਤਪ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਹ? (ਭਾਵ, ਭਗਤ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਜੋਗ-ਸਾਧਨ, ਜੱਗ, ਦਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਤਪ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਆਤਮਕ ਲਾਭ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ, ਪ੝ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਹੀ ਅਸਲ ਕਰਣੀ ਹੈ) । ਸਾਡਾ ਵੀਰ ਜੈਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਚਾਰ ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਟਪਲਾ ਖਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ । ਜੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੇ ਅਰਥ ਨੂੰ ਗਹ੝ ਨਾਲ ਸਮਝਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਸ਼ ਕਰਦਾ, ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਉਕਾਈ ਨਾਹ ਲੱਗਦੀ । ਪਾਠਕ ਸੱਜਣ ‘ਰਹਾਉ’ ਦੀ ਤ੝ਕ ਦੇ ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ ‘ਵਖਾਣਿਆ’ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼੝ਰੂ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ‘ਬੰਦ’ ਦੇ ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ ‘ਭੇਦਿਆ’ ‘ਪੂਰੀਆ’ ਆਦਿਕ ਤਕ ਅੱਪੜ ਕੇ ਅਰਥ ਕਰਨ-ਹੇ ਮਨ! ਆਦਿ (ਪ੝ਰਭੂ) ਦੇ ਗ੝ਣ ਆਦਿ ਵਖਾਣਿਆਂ (ਭਾਵ, ਪ੝ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ) ਖੱਬੀ ਸ੝ਰ ਵਿਚ ਪ੝ਰਾਣ ਭੀ ਗਝ ਹਨ,... ਸੱਜੀ ਸ੝ਰ ਰਸਤੇ ਸੋਲਾਂ ਵਾਰੀ ‘ਓਂ’ ਆਖ ਕੇ ਉਤਰ ਭੀ ਆਝ ਹਨ (ਭਾਵ, ਪ੝ਰਾਣਾਯਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਹੀ ਉੱਦਮ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਅਰਥਾਤ, ਪ੝ਰਾਣਾਯਾਮ ਦਾ ਉੱਦਮ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਹੈ) । ਇਥੇ ਪਾਠਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਹੂਲਤ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਸਤਿਗ੝ਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਉੱਪਰ-ਲਿਖੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਦੇਣਾ ਭੀ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਜਾਪਦਾ ਹੈ । ਸੂਰ ਸਰ੝ ਸੋਸਿ ਲੈ-ਸੂਰਜ (ਦੀ ਤਪਸ਼) ਦੇ ਸਰੋਵਰ ਨੂੰ ਸ੝ਕਾ ਦੇਹ, ਤਮੋ-ਗ੝ਣੀ ਸ੝ਭਾਉ ਨੂੰ ਸ੝ਕਾ ਦੇਹ, (ਸੂਰਜ ਦੀ ਨਾੜੀ ਨੂੰ ਸ੝ਕਾ ਦੇਹ, ਇਹ ਹੈ ਸੱਜੀ ਸ੝ਰ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪ੝ਰਾਣ ਉਤਾਰਨੇ) । ਸੋਮ ਸਰ੝ ਪੋਖਿ ਲੈ-ਚੰਦ੝ਰਮਾ ਦੀ (ਸੀਤਲਤਾ) ਦੇ ਸਰੋਵਰ ਨੂੰ ਤਕੜਾ ਕਰ, ਸ਼ਾਂਤ-ਸ੝ਭਾਵ, ਸੀਤਲਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਤਕੜਾ ਕਰ, (ਚੰਦ੝ਰਮਾ ਦੀ ਨਾੜੀ ਨੂੰ ਤਕੜਾ ਕਰ, ਇਹ ਹੈ ਖੱਬੀ ਸ੝ਰ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪ੝ਰਾਣ ਚਾੜ੝ਹਨੇ) । ਜ੝ਗਤਿ ਕਰਿ ਮਰਤ੝-ਸੋਹਣੀ ਜੀਵਨ-ਜ੝ਗਤਿ ਨੂੰ ਪ੝ਰਾਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਟਿਕਾਉਣਾ ਬਣਾ (ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਜ੝ਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਹੀ ਪ੝ਰਾਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ੝ਖਮਨਾ ਨਾੜੀ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਾਣਾ ਹੈ । ਸ੝ ਸਨਬੰਧ੝ ਕੀਜੈ-ਸਾਰਾ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਹੀ ਮੇਲ ਮਿਲਾਉ । ਮੀਨ ਕੀ ਚਪਲ ਸਿਉ ਜ੝ਗਤਿ ਮਨ੝ ਰਾਖੀਝ-ਇਸ ਜ੝ਗਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਮੀਨ ਦੀ ਚਪਲ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਜ੝ਗਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਮੱਛੀ ਦੀ ਚੰਚਲਤਾ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨ ਸਾਂਭਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ । ਉਡੈ ਨਹ ਹੰਸ੝-ਮਨ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਲ) ਦੌੜਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ । ਨਹ ਕੰਧ੝ ਛੀਜੈ-ਸਰੀਰ ਭੀ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਖਚਿਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹ੝ੰਦਾ । ਭਗਤ ਜੈਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦਾ ਹਵਾਲਾ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਸਾਡਾ ਵੀਰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਸ਼ਨੂੰ-ਭਗਤੀ ਦਾ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਹੈ । ਇਥੇ ਉਸ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਅਰਥ ਦੇਣ ਨਾਲ ਤਾਂ ਲੇਖ ਬਹ੝ਤ ਹੀ ਲੰਮਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਇਗਾ; ਸਿਰਫ਼ ‘ਰਹਾਉ’ ਦੀ ਤ੝ਕ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਹੀ ਤ੝ਕ ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦਾ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ । ਜੈਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਲਿਖਦੇ ਹਨ:- “ਕੇਵਲ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਮਨੋਰਮੰ ॥ ਬਦਿ ਅੰਮ੝ਰਿਤ ਤਤ ਮਇਅੰ ॥ ਨ ਦਨੋਤਿ ਜਸਮਰਣੇਨ, ਜਨਮ ਜਰਾਧਿ ਮਰਣ ਭਇਅੰ ॥੧॥ਰਹਾਉ॥

As Sikhs be guided by the Guru

As Sikhs we only need spiritual guidance from our Guru. We don't need to listen to Nick Ross or 3HO or anyone else. We need to listen to our Guru. The Guru says:

Where does the Guru condemn yoga and calls it wrong? How can yoga be Anti-Sikhi? I think that a lot of Sikhs are influenced by their own prejudices - this is the spin by certain "Sikhs" because they have not considered the teaching of the Guru carefully. Study the Guru and tell me where it say that yoga is bad - don't quote other mortals for they know not. If we are Gurmukh, then let us listen to the Guru and move in his direction.

Great Mr./Ms/Mrs Mutia jee These guys are not preaching Sikh.ism, Khalsai way shown by 10th Nanak, these are absorbed by altooo faltooo practices. We may not be scholars but are simple, straight & Dare Devil natives of Gurus' native land here, when required to shoot we see nothing but bloody bleeding target. Our only strength is Khalsaiat and Sach da ih Rasta

Not only 3HO, others like radhaswami, nirankari, nirmala etc are fall under the same category, these all paraare sect these are not or wat u can say BUNYAADI. The bunyaad of all is SIKHISM, Guru Granth Sahib and some religons like hinduism, islam etc.

My freind is Radhaswami and he tried a lot me to take naam from radhaswami dera ferozpur i simly said to him "WEKH kaka main proper khalsa hai nahin but main radhaswamian da naam nahin lena".

I want to give u example of my freind who fall in love with radhaswami girl and for her he accepted that sect leaving khalsa way.

Hindu unmarried/married females worship Shivling (Sexual organ of Shiva and Parv ati) but it's being followed by white Sikh women of 3ho cult and propagated worldwide, what message do they want to give in world about Sikhism? Snatam kaur, Gurmukh kaur and Sikhnet need to answer these questions, instead of visiting Amritsar and pay respect at the lotus feet of Guru Ram das, these fakes went to Rishikesh---far from Amritsar as they were feared of bloodshed and manhandling by traditional Sikhs on their anti Sikh activities.Akal Takhat needs to take a strict action to declare them non Sikhs like Namdharis were declared before any further damage is done to Sikh panth.
