Parupkaar (Gurmukhi: ਪਰਉਪਕਾਰ) is a word which is based on two roots - Pariya (Gurmukhi: ਪਰਾਇਆ) which refers to a stranger, alien, foreign entity and oopkar (Gurmukhi: ਉਪਕਾਰ) which means to do good, be generous; to do the right thing.
So the word "Parupkaar" means to do good to a stranger; to be generous to a foreign entity; to be nice to someone who you do not know.
