Fatehgarh Sahib is the name given to a district in Punjab, Northern India which is bounded by Ludhiana to the North West, Ropar (Rupnagar) in the North East, Patiala in the South, and Sangrar to the West. The economy of the district depends mainly on agriculture and allied activities.

The historic & pious District of Fatehgarh Sahib came into existence on 13th April 1992, Baisakhi Day, deriving its name 'Fatehgarh Sahib' from Sahibzada Fateh Singh, the youngest son of 10th Guru Gobind Singh, who were bricked alive by the orders of Suba Sirhind.
