Questions: to Lucky ji or anyone in the area.

  • Why is this Gurdwara labeled as Gurudwara ANAND Sahib on Google Earth site - no mention of mangoes?
  • There is no Gurdwara near (across from Gurdwara Sant Mandal Angitha Sahib) on the map? Searching for Gurdwara Angitha Sahib mohali punjab - takes one to a complex labeled Ratwara Sahib?

This Ratwara Sahib is located miles northeast of Gurudwara Amb Sahib?

Trying to locate these Gurdwaras on the map, I came across the following quote (From the Sikh Times) by former Jathedar Joginder Singh Vedanti the same man pictured on this page.

Jathedar Akal Takht Jathedar Joginder Singh Vedanti on phone yesterday said that Guru Granth Sahib is revered as a living God of (the) Sikh… this is very confusing. Is this just a bad translation?

The link to Wikimapia appears to be fixed; have not checked Google Earth but wikimapia data is correct as I have visited this shrine and its location near the Fortis Hospital is confirmed - Wikimapia now read Gurdwara Amb Sahib; the Gurdwara Sant Mandal Angitha Sahib is some 500m southwest of this shrine - please see new link to wikimapia.

Gurdwara Ratwara Sahib is not to be confused with Gurdwara Sant Mandal Angitha Sahib - This shrine is located only about 500m away.

The quote by Jathedar must be wrong - the holy Granth is not a "God" of the Sikh or anyone else! Please correct this as it is totally incorrect. Regards, Hari Singhtalk 19:38, 16 August 2010 (EDT)
