This is a shabad composition by Guru Gobind Singh found in the Dasam Granth; it can re read online at Sridasam.org at page 131
It is an amazing tribute by a son to the most honourable deed of his great father.
| ਤਿਲਕ ਜੰਵੂ ਰਾਖਾ ਪਰਭ ਤਾ ਕਾ ॥ ਕੀਨੋ ਬਡੋ ਕਲੂ ਮਹਿ ਸਾਕਾ ॥ |
| Thilak Jannjoo Rakha Prabh Thaka. Keeno Baddo Kaloo Mehi Saka. |
| He protected the forehead mark and sacred thread (of the Hindus) which marked a great event in the Iron age. |
| ਸਾਧਨ ਹੇਤਿ ਇਤੀ ਜਿਨਿ ਕਰੀ ॥ ਸੀਸ ਦੀਆ ਪਰ ਸੀ ਨ ਉਚਰੀ ॥੧੩॥ |
