Sandhu[1] (Punjabi: ਸੰਧੂ) is a second largest clan as well as surname of Sansi Rajput Jatt people of Punjab. The largest clan is Sidhu-Brar. It's member mainly lives in Punjab region (East Punjab and West Punjab) and also abroad as they migrated overseas. As of 1881 census, there were 135732 Sandhus.[1][2]
The Hindu Sandhu Sansi Rajput Jatts of Bar region, converted to Islam, while the Hindu Sandhu Sansi Rajput Jatts, of Majha region, converted to Sikhism.
