Guru Nanak ji visited Shikarpur while coming from Turkistan (a region in Central Asia, which today is largely inhabited by Turkic peoples) to Kartarpur (Ravi).

There, a butcher named Noor Nushtar, was grazing the goats. When he saw Guru ji, who were wearing the attire of an faqir, he brought a glass of milk for Guru ji. Guru Nanak asked the reason for him bringing the milk. The butcher replied:

I'm a poor man, I haven't a penny. I have heard, if we serve the faqirs, their blessings become true. Thats why I bhought the milk for you, thinking that you would make me a rich man of this land.

Guru ji said:

Take a bath in amrit vela (early in the morning), reciting the name of the lord. Always serve the needy, if you can. By itself all your wishes will become true.

Then a weaver named Dawood brought a galicha for guru sahib and said to put the galicha down and sit on it. Guru Nanak said the eartch is the galecha spread by the lord, this galeecha never grow old not becomes dirty. Then there was a pregnant bitch who was shivering with cold. Guru jee said to dahood to put this galeecha on this bitch and give her food. Guru je asked about his demand. He prayed before Guru nanak that i have no child i need it. Guru ji gave him blessings that your wiosh will become true
