Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh,

Luckyji, it seems you might have read some of Auckbaraullee's e-books. His claims of Guru Nanak being a Muslim along with jesus seemed out of place here. This seems to have hit a raw nerve with you as did the miss translated question to Mrs. Clinton that hit a nerve with her. See [1] and watch her dander rise (blood boil). Blogs are filled with such tripe-chill out.

Guru Nanak intended to belong to and be a teacher for the whole world (my belief) and worked to bring equality to all.

His teachings have many things in common with many religions.

Because of his belief in one God, many modern day Muslims argue that he was a Musalman, the best known man to do that was an an Ahmadi named Prof. Abdul Jaleel [2] -(the only Muslim winner of the Nobel Prize, an Ahmadi - Dr Abdus Salam was himself declared a non-muslim along with all his fellow Ahmadis by Pakistan's Parliament under Zia ul Haq.)[3] The Ahmadis claim a literacy rate of 99% vs the rest of Pakistan's Muslims (34.8). Only the rich recieve a 'western style' education in private schools in Pakistan and around the world. The taleban would end any study of the english language and english law. The so called taleban of Nigeria was even teaching that the world was flat and four cornered because it was said in the Qur'an or Hadiths. They believed that only the Qur'an should be studied - only by men.

I have never read that Guru Nanak pronounced the Shahada [4] (required to be a Muslim) or rolled out a matt and faced the Ka 'abah to pray 5 times daily. His Sikhs don't get buried.

He did admire Kabir. but I never read of his studying Arabic, the only script in which the Qur'an was written in until three centuries later. Persian differs from Arabic and Urdu.

While the Sufis befriended the Gurus, many of the Sunnis caused the same violence in Nanaks times, as they did in the Chotta and Wada Ghalughara in the late 1700s, 1947 and today. Pakistan and Iraq daily see the wanton violence of the fight between Shias and Sunni militants.

I can imagine that even in India, Hyderabad for instance that police guards are required during the processions of Ashura in the month of Muharram.

Please read this article written by a Hazara [5] which explains a lot about what happened/is happening in Quetta and even in Iran currently.
