ਬਖਸਿਆ ਪਾਰਬ੝ਰਹਮ ਪਰਮੇਸਰਿ ਸਗਲੇ ਰੋਗ ਬਿਦਾਰੇ ॥ ਗ੝ਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਕੀ ਸਰਣੀ ਉਬਰੇ ਕਾਰਜ ਸਗਲ ਸਵਾਰੇ ॥1॥  


ਭਜ੝ ਗੋਬਿਦ ਸਭ ਛੋਡਿ ਜੰਜਾਲ ॥ ਜਬ ਜਮ੝ ਆਇ ਸੰਘਾਰੈ ਮੂੜੇ ਤਬ ਤਨ੝ ਬਿਨਸਿ ਜਾਇ ਬੇਹਾਲ ॥1॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥  
ਹਰਿ ਜਨਿ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਨਾਮ ਅਧਾਰਿ ॥ ਤਾਪ੝ ਉਤਾਰਿਆ ਸਤਿਗ੝ਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਅਪਣੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰਿ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

Extending His Hand, the Lord protected you in your mother's womb.
Renouncing the sublime essence of the Lord, you have tasted the fruit of poison. ||1||
 
Meditate, vibrate on the Lord of the Universe, and renounce all entanglements.
When the Messenger of Death comes to murder you, O fool, then your body will be shattered and helplessly crumble. ||1||Pause||


You hold onto your body, mind and wealth as your own,
The Supreme Lord God, the Transcendent Lord, has forgiven me, and all diseases have been cured.
and you do not meditate on the Creator Lord, even for an instant. ||2||
Those who come to the Sanctuary of the True Guru are saved, and all their affairs are resolved. ||1||


You have fallen into the deep, dark pit of great attachment.
The Lord's humble servant meditates in remembrance on the Naam, the Name of the Lord; this is his only support.
Caught in the illusion of Maya, you have forgotten the Supreme Lord. ||3||
The Perfect True Guru extended His Mercy, and the fever has been dispelled. ||Pause||


By great good fortune, one sings the Kirtan of God's Praises.
So celebrate and be happy, my beloveds - the Guru has saved Hargobind.
In the Society of the Saints, Nanak has found God. ||4||11||16||
Great is the glorious greatness of the Creator, O Nanak; True is the Word of His Shabad, and True is the sermon of His Teachings. ||2||18||46||

ਪਦਅਰਥ: ਪਰਮੇਸਰਿ—ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ਰ ਨੇ। ਬਿਦਾਰੇ—ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਸਗਲ—ਸਾਰੇ।੧।
 
ਜੰਜਾਲ—ਮੋਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਤਣਾਵਾਂ। ਆਇ—ਆ ਕੇ। ਸੰਘਾਰੈ—ਮਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੂੜੇ—ਹੇ ਮੂਰਖ! ਬੇਹਾਲ—ਦ੝ੱਖੀ ਹੋ ਕੇ, ਦ੝ੱਖ ਭੋਗ ਕੇ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
 
ਕਰਿ—ਕਰ ਕੇ। ਕਰਿ ਥਾਪਿਆ—ਮੰਨ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ। ਨਿਮਖ੝—{निमेष} ਅੱਖ ਝਮਕਣ ਜਿਤਨਾ ਸਮਾ।੨।
 
ਅੰਧ ਕੂਪ—ਅੰਨ੝ਹ੝ਹਾ ਖੂਹ। ਪਟਲਿ—ਪਰਦੇ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ।੩।
 
ਵਡੈ ਭਾਗਿ—ਵੱਡੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਨਾਲ। ਸੰਗਿ—ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ।੪।


ਅਰਥ: ਹੇ ਮੂਰਖ (ਮਨ੝ੱਖ)! ਮੋਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਤਣਾਵਾਂ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆ ਕਰ। ਜਿਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਜਮਦੂਤ ਆ ਕੇ ਮਾਰੂ ਹੱਲਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਦ੝ੱਖ ਸਹਾਰ ਕੇ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
ਜਨਿ—ਜਨ ਨੇ। ਅਧਾਰਿ—ਆਸਰੇ ਤੇ। ਸਤਿਗ੝ਰਿ—ਗ੝ਰੂ ਨੇ।ਰਹਾਉ।


(ਹੇ ਮੂਰਖ! ਜਿਸ ਪ੝ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ) ਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੇਟ ਵਿਚ (ਆਪਣਾ) ਹੱਥ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਬਚਾਇਆ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਭ੝ਲਾ ਕੇ ਤੂੰ ਮਾਇਆ ਦਾ ਫਲ ਚੱਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ।੧।
ਕਰਹ—ਅਸੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਪਿਆਰੇ—ਹੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ! ਗ੝ਰਿ—ਗ੝ਰੂ ਨੇ। ਕਰਤੇ ਕੀ—ਕਰਤਾਰ ਦੀ। ਸਾਚ੝—ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ। ਸਤਿ—ਠੀਕ, ਸੱਚ। ਭਾਖਿਆ—ਉਚਾਰਿਆ।੨।


(ਹੇ ਮੂਰਖ!) ਤੂੰ ਇਸ ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ, ਇਸ ਧਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਮੰਨੀ ਬੈਠਾ ਹੈਂ, ਪਰ ਜਿਸ ਪ੝ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਪਲ ਭਰ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ।੨।
ਅਰਥ: ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਜਿਸ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ, ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਆਸਰੇ ਵਿਚ (ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਤੋਰਿਆ), ਪੂਰੇ ਗ੝ਰੂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਉਸ ਦਾ) ਤਾਪ ਲਾਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ।ਰਹਾਉ।


(ਹੇ ਮੂਰਖ!) ਤੂੰ ਮੋਹ ਦੇ ਬੜੇ ਘ੝ੱਪ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਖੂਹ ਵਿਚ ਡਿੱਗਾ ਪਿਆ ਹੈਂ, ਮਾਇਆ (ਦੇ ਮੋਹ) ਦੇ ਪਰਦੇ ਦੇ ਓਹਲੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਭ੝ੱਲ ਚ੝ਕਾ ਹੈ।੩।
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਾਰਬ੝ਰਹਮ ਪਰਮੇਸਰ ਨੇ (ਜਿਸ ਸੇਵਕ ਉੱਤੇ) ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰੋਗ ਉਸਨੇ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਜੇਹੜੇ ਭੀ ਮਨ੝ੱਖ ਗ੝ਰੂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਦ੝ੱਖਾਂ-ਕਲੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਗ੝ਰੂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਸਵਾਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ।੧।


ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨ੝ੱਖ ਨੇ ਵੱਡੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦਾ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਣਾ ਸ਼੝ਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪ੝ਰਭੂ (ਦਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ) ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ।੪।੧੧।੧੬।
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ (ਭਾਈ)! (ਗ੝ਰੂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ) ਅਸੀ (ਭੀ) ਸਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਹਰਿ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਨੂੰ ਗ੝ਰੂ ਨੇ (ਹੀ ਤਾਪ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚਾਇਆ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਵੱਡੀਆਂ ਤਾਕਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੝ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ (ਹੀ) ਉਚਾਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। (ਗ੝ਰੂ ਨੇ ਇਹ) ਸਹੀ ਬਚਨ ਉਚਾਰਿਆ ਹੈ (ਠੀਕ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ)।੨।੧੮।੪੬।

ਅਰਥ: ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਜਿਸ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ, ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਆਸਰੇ ਵਿਚ (ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਤੋਰਿਆ), ਪੂਰੇ ਗ੝ਰੂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਉਸ ਦਾ) ਤਾਪ ਲਾਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ।ਰਹਾਉ।

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਾਰਬ੝ਰਹਮ ਪਰਮੇਸਰ ਨੇ (ਜਿਸ ਸੇਵਕ ਉੱਤੇ) ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰੋਗ ਉਸਨੇ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਜੇਹੜੇ ਭੀ ਮਨ੝ੱਖ ਗ੝ਰੂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਦ੝ੱਖਾਂ-ਕਲੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਗ੝ਰੂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਸਵਾਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ।੧।

ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ (ਭਾਈ)! (ਗ੝ਰੂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ) ਅਸੀ (ਭੀ) ਸਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਹਰਿ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਨੂੰ ਗ੝ਰੂ ਨੇ (ਹੀ ਤਾਪ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚਾਇਆ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਵੱਡੀਆਂ ਤਾਕਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੝ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ (ਹੀ) ਉਚਾਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। (ਗ੝ਰੂ ਨੇ ਇਹ) ਸਹੀ ਬਚਨ ਉਚਾਰਿਆ ਹੈ (ਠੀਕ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ)।੨।੧੮।੪੬।
