Respected Vishawjit Singh Ji

Bhai Sahib Ji

Welcome to SikhiWiki,

I am no expert and do not have any merit to become a teacher. We are all students of the mighty Guru Granth Sahib ji. Only through the guidance of our Guru can be entangle the mysterious of the world.

Bhai Sahib ji, you are most welcome to the monumental projected start by Ash Singh and Sikhnet. We hope that with Waheguru's kirpa, the message of the Guru can be conveyed through this channel.

It's good to know that you are a fan of Gurmat and you have an urge to spread the Guru's word. What I suggest is that you start one or two new articles on the subjects within Sikhism that you hold dear. We can then work on these together as I will keep an eye on the "Recent Changes" page every few days. Once these pages are complete then we can "link" them to the rest of Sikhiwiki database.

Hyper-Linking: The other thing that need to be done is routine work of "hyper-linking" the important Sikhi words in the database. If from the main page, you go to "Special Pages" and then "Long Pages", click on some of the pages like Early Canadian Sikh History. You will find that we can hyper-link some of the words that exist in the database. A few occurrences of the word Sikh can have the 2 square brackets inserted so a new user can quickly look at the exact meaning of the word '"Sikh" by using the linking facility of SikhiWiki.

Missing Text on Short Pages If you look at "Special Pages" and then "Short Pages", some of these pages have no information. Do a "Google Search" on these terms and create a short article from the information from the web by combing all the information that you can find on to these pages. Also, you can find several sites which have excellent articles on Sikhi – use these to create new text. Try this site: globalsikhstudies.net It may have something that you find interesting that you can create in SikhiWiki.

I hope this gives you some direction. Please keep in touch either through the Discussion page or by using the email facility on my user page Hari Singh
