This is oviously taken from another source as there are numbers referencing references throughtout the piece.

The original author/ source of the material is not noted. This is not a good practise for a wiki based on the fundamentals of truth, we are slipping down a slippery slope here.

I will look for the source if any one knows of this please add user:Allenwalla 09:02, 23 February 2008 (MST)

my middle name is allen it has been passed for many generations down the fathers side of family , who came from england hundreds of years ago. The Alans who crossed the channel and also split to head south into spain and crossed at Jabal Tĝriq (جبل طارق) over to the Atlas mtns. and Morrocco (where they put up a @#*@# good fight against Islams' invasion, have always been of great interest to me - all have seemed to be mountain men who took to the high grounds. user:Allenwalla 09:02, 23 February 2008 (MST)good to see the alans added in this article. Since learning of Guru Nanak i have always felt most at home among the Sikhs i have come to know and love.

You Jatt's should be ashamed of your self's for destroying such a good religion with such high quality. You all think that only a jatt can be a true Sikh, wake up to your self’s you losers you preach one thing and practice a another, but trust me my friends one day the great almighty god himself will punish you all for destroying the name of the true khalsa Panth with arrogance and your low life beliefs and I will be right there helping him can’t wait for that day

PANTH KSS KHALSA

hey

Hey I am a Jatt but I could not find my surname here. Its Nehal, though some people write it as nahal also. Could you please add it here..thanks

A lot of information here. Genetic tests confirm that Jatts share genetic resembles to the 'mesa gaeta' tribe, said to be the origin of jatts. My mother's village 'Bandala' near Taran tara, Punjab, India,is the originator of all Hundal's in the world, the man named 'Handal' started it and Indian acheologists have discovered architecture relating to the time of Alexander in the village. He was said to have retired from the army and settled there. A very close greek connection.

Will add some with evidence soon.

Jatt?

Hi,

I am on here to ask a question about the Jatt status. As this is a sikhi site, I think it is important to add that we are not supposed to have a class system. Guru Nanak Dev Ji wanted us to be equal, ALL THE PEOPLE should be the same! there is no separation between race or class.

Missing Jat lastname.

Please consider adding "Shahid" and "Shaheed" to the list. I am from village Shaheedan in Amritsar distt. Patti Tehsil. The village is mainly "Khera", but somewhere around my great-grandfather's time in early 1900s, our families abandoned the use of Khera and started using Shahid/Shaheed as last names in honor of amar Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Ji who has a connection to our village and hence the village name. Our family draws a direct decendence to babaji as well.

Thanks for your consideration.

Vickramjit Singh Shahid.

Vickramjit Singh Shahid, may be you are too young, maybe you are ill informed. Jatts have nothing to do with arabians so they should in no situation ever resort to adopt arabian names. Jatts have nothing to do with sikhism, sikhism started by khatries but survived due to Jatts as they chose to sacrifice Jatt lives for the ungrateful hindus.

Jatts were never a part of any religion. Jatt history predates all these religions. To truly know Jatt Roots, you need to google getae, massagetae, Queen Tomyris, dahae, dacian, yuezhi, varkhana, parthians, sarens, Thyssagetae, Tyragetae, goths, jutes, white huns, saka, scythians etc.

Dahae today known as Dahya Jatts mainly in Haryana, Vark(virkana)known as Virk Jatts in Punjab and Birk in europe. are ancient Jatts who still hold on to their original clan name, Do you think Baba deep Singh was the only sahid among Jatts(of course that applies only if he is a Jatt to begin with, because people also claim that he was a mahton or mazhbi), Jatts history is full of Martyrs.

If you are really a Jatt why are not you and your family proud of Khera got as if not millions at least thousands of Khera Jatts have sacrificed their lives so you could be today one of their offspring. Kera got is far more glorious than any shahid or shaheed arabian bullshit word. Learn never ever to change your clan name or your coming generations would not know where they belong or who they are. and it be all your fault as you are the one who deprive them of the information by changing your clan name. they may be treated as arabian garbage because their clan name is an arabian word.

All Jatts need to get out of any religion and stop sacrificing their lives for these undeserving thugs who use them as a shield. What Jatts need to realize is that they need Jattism not sikhism. Jatts divided into different religions fighting with each other now are about 40,000,000. Had they remained only Jatts and were not sacrificing their lives to protect their own enemies, they were numbered today around 250,000,000 and had much greater political and economical presence.

Missing Jatt Sirname

Hi There, We are Minhas and we are Jatts too. According to jatland.com, Minhas are under Jat catagory. Malanhans and Minhas are same, because Minhas came from malanhans. And Virks came from Minhas. So it is my humble request to add Minhas in the list as well. Or someone please let me know how to edit/add a sir name in Jatt Sirname list.

Kinds Regards Vikram
