Sakhi

Listening to their Ancestors' Stories children grow up as Morally Strong Good

Children Pg 951-5

literally means "Historical Account" or Story.

The term is used to refer to the many accounts of the historically events that took place in Sikhism. A Sakhi is a tale usally from the era during the times of the Gurus. However, many Sakhis do exist from the period before and after the times of the Ten Gurus. Most Sakhis have a moral lesson and highlight important Sikh principles.
