Bhai Tirath Singh Ji was a scholar and a man of letters, who was schooled at the Taksal run by '''[[Giani Sant Amir Singh Ji]]''', who in his lifetime taught many renowned scholars and many saints, and advised personalities such as [[Bhai Sahib Bhai Vir Singh Ji]] as well. Mahant Sahib sent Bhai Tirath Singh Ji to regular school, where Bhai Tirath Singh Ji learnt English, as well. After completing his education, Bhai Tirath Singh Ji travelled a lot to represent the Tikana Sahib at various occasions, while Bhai Kahan Singh stayed by Mahant Sahib's side always serving him lovingly.
