Kuthha: Difference between revisions

Kutha is edible meat prepared after slaughtering an amimal in ritulisic Islamic religious tradition. Almost All over India locally termed as 'Halal'.

Socio Religous Taboo

Besides Sikhs having been formally ordained by 10th Guru to refrain from eating it, almost all non muslim Indians tend to shun it. The overall social sentiment the country over is so rigid that eating 'Halal' even inadvertantly is considered an ethical sin.

Why 10th Guru Ordained So ?

1. forcefull feeding of kuthha to Hindus/Sikhs was part of the major islamic state strategy & policy of mass coversion of Hindus to Islam. victim were forced to be left with the decision of accepting :-

(a) Slow & tortureous Death by Living as

-

degraded social-outcast doomed & isolated in socio religous

confinement defined by Bramanism.

State subject deprived of even bare minimum nececities of suvival like social access to food water & shelter. Death By refusing to eat Kutha.The message to the State, & the universe was loud & clear,

"A sikh will fight out falsehood, & LORD TRUTH willing embrasse Death & Join LORD TRUTH as a Sikh only"

2. During Mughal rule, kutha meat was used to destroy the Hindu & Sikh faiths. Eating kutha meat resulted in spiritual weakness among Hindus.

3. According to Mughal law, Hindus were neither permitted to keep weapons at home nor allowed to cook and eat any form of meat.

4. 10th Guru, placed two major impediments in the way of Mughal oppression via his decision to

a) arm the Sikhs and 

b) ban Sikhs from consuming spiritually detrimental katha food
preparations.
