Kandhola Village, located next to the historic township of Chamkaur, traces its history back to the era of S.Dayal Singh Virk (Singhpuria). This sleepy village is marked by the nearby Kandhola Fort, which is the most prominent feauture on the horizon of this historic village and its history that speaks of the might and courage of the Singhpuria clan.
This historic fort carries the emblem of Slnghpuria victory over the rulers of Sirhind. Originally built by the Lodhis and the Kandhola estate, the Kandhola Fort is, to this day, still standing tall among the many other monuments scattered around the historic township of Chamkaur Sahib.
