ਅਥ ਮਧ੝ ਕੈਟਭ ਬਧ ਕਥਨੰ ॥ अथ मधढ़ कैटभ बध कथनं ॥ Now begins the description of the killing of Madhu and Kaitabh :

ਸ੝ਰੀ ਭਗਉਤੀ ਜੀ ਸਹਾਇ ॥ सढ़री भगउती जी सहाइ ॥ Let Sri Bhagauti Ji (The Primal Lord) be helpful.

ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥ दोहरा ॥ DOHRA

ਕਾਲ ਪ੝ਰਖ ਕੀ ਦੇਹਿ ਮੋ ਕੋਟਿਕ ਬਿਸਨ ਮਹੇਸ ॥ काल पढ़रख की देहि मो कोटिक बिसन महेस ॥ In the body of the Immanent Lord, million of Vishnus and Shivas abide.

ਕੋਟਿ ਇੰਦ੝ਰ ਬ੝ਰਹਮਾ ਕਿਤੇ ਰਵਿ ਸਸਿ ਕ੝ਰੋਰ ਜਲੇਸ ॥੧॥ कोटि इंदढ़र बढ़रहमा किते रवि ससि कढ़रोर जलेस ॥१॥ Million of Indras, Brahmas, Suryas, Chandras and Varunas are present thre in His divine body.1.

ਚੌਪਈ ॥ चौपई ॥ CHAUPAI

ਸ੝ਰਮਿਤ ਬਿਸਨ ਤਹ ਰਹਤ ਸਮਾਈ ॥ ਸਿੰਧ੝ ਬਿੰਧ੝ ਜਹ ਗਨਿਯੋ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥ सढ़रमित बिसन तह रहत समाई ॥ सिंधढ़ बिंधढ़ जह गनियो न जाई ॥ Fatigued by his work, Vishnu remains merged in Him and within that Immanent Lord, there are unaccountable oceans and worlds.

ਸੇਸਨਾਗਿ ਸੇ ਕੋਟਕ ਤਹਾਂ ॥ ਸੋਵਤ ਸੈਨ ਸਰਪ ਕੀ ਜਹਾਂ ॥੨॥ सेसनागि से कोटक तहां ॥ सोवत सैन सरप की जहां ॥२॥ The bed of Great serpent, on which that Immanent Lord sleeps, millions of Sheshanagas appear graceful near it.2.

ਸਹੰਸ੝ਰ ਸੀਸ ਤਬ ਧਰ ਤਨ ਜੰਗਾ ॥ ਸਹੰਸ੝ਰ ਪਾਵ ਕਰ ਸਹੰਸ ਅਭੰਗਾ ॥ सहंसढ़र सीस तब धर तन जंगा ॥ सहंसढ़र पाव कर सहंस अभंगा ॥ He hath thousands of heads, trunks and legs; He hath thousands of hands and feet; He, the Invincible Lord;

ਸਹੰਸਰਾਛ ਸੋਭਤ ਹੈਂ ਤਾਕੇ ॥ ਲਛਮੀ ਪਾਵ ਪਲੋਸਤ ਵਾਕੇ ॥੩॥ सहंसराछ सोभत हैं ताके ॥ लछमी पाव पलोसत वाके ॥३॥ He hath thousands of eyes and al types of excellences kiss his feet.3.

ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥ दोहरा ॥ DOHRA

ਮਧ੝ ਕੀਟਭ ਕੇ ਬਧ ਨਮਿਤ ਜਾ ਦਿਨ ਜਗਤ ਮ੝ਰਾਰਿ ॥ मधढ़ कीटभ के बध नमित जा दिन जगत मढ़रारि ॥ The day on which Vishnu manifested himself for the killing of Madhu and Kaitabh,

ਸ੝ ਕਬਿ ਸਯਾਮਿ ਤਾਕੋ ਕਹੈ ਚੌਦਸਵੋ ਅਵਤਾਰ ॥੪॥ सढ़ कबि सयामि ताको कहै चौदसवो अवतार ॥४॥ The poet Shyam knows him as fourteenth incarnation.4.

ਚੌਪਈ ॥ चौपई ॥ CHAUPAI

ਸ੝ਰਵਣ ਮੈਲ ਤੇ ਅਸ੝ਰ ਪ੝ਰਕਾਸਤ ॥ ਚੰਦ ਸੂਰ ਜਨ ਦ੝ਤਿਯ ਪ੝ਰਭਾਸਤ ॥ सढ़रवण मैल ते असढ़र पढ़रकासत ॥ चंद सूर जन दढ़तिय पढ़रभासत ॥ From the dross of the ear, the demons were born and were considered glorious like Chandra and Surya.

ਮਾਯਾ ਤਜਤ ਬਿਸਨ ਕਹ੝ ਤਬ ਹੀ ॥ ਕਰਤ ਉਪਾਧਿ ਅਸ੝ਰ ਮਿਲਿ ਜਬ ਹੀ ॥੫॥ माया तजत बिसन कहढ़ तब ही ॥ करत उपाधि असढ़र मिलि जब ही ॥५॥ With the orders of the Immanent Lord, Vishnu abandoned maya and manifested himself at that time, when these demons indulged in riots.5.

ਤਿਨ ਸੋਂ ਕਰਤ ਬਿਸਨ ਘਮਸਾਨਾ ॥ ਬਰਖ ਹਜਾਰ ਪੰਚ ਪਰਮਾਨਾ ॥ तिन सों करत बिसन घमसाना ॥ बरख हजार पंच परमाना ॥ Vishnu waged ferocious war with them for five thousand years .

ਕਾਲ ਪ੝ਰਖ ਤਬ ਹੋਤ ਸਹਾਈ ॥ ਦ੝ਹੂੰਅਨਿ ਹਨਤ ਕ੝ਰੋਧ ਉਪਜਾਈ ॥੬॥ काल पढ़रख तब होत सहाई ॥ दढ़हूंअनि हनत कढ़रोध उपजाई ॥६॥ The Immanent Lord then helped Vishnu and in great fury, he destroyed both the demons.6.

ਧਾਰਤ ਹੈ ਝਸੌ ਬਿਸਨ ਚੌਦਸਵੋਂ ਅਵਤਾਰ ॥ ਸੰਤ ਸੰਬੂਹਨਿ ਸ੝ਖ ਨਮਿਤ ਦਾਨਵ ਦ੝ਹੂੰ ਸੰਘਾਰ ॥੭॥ धारत है झसौ बिसन चौदसवों अवतार ॥ संत सढ़मबूहनि सढ़ख नमित दानव दढ़हूं संघार ॥७॥ In this way, Vishnu manifested himself as the fourteenth incarnation and in order to give comfort to the saints, he destroyed both these demons.7.
