BUCHCHEKE, village 15 km southwest of Nankana Sahib in Sheikhupura district of Pakistan, had a historical shrine, Gurdwara Patshahi V, dedicated to Guru Arjan, who once came here from Nankana Sahib during his travels across this region. The Gurdwara was looked after by Nirmala Sikhs. A religious fair used to be held here on the first of Chet (midMarch) every year until 1947 when the Gurdwara had to be abandoned in the wake of mass migrations caused by the partition of the Punjab.
