The river [[Chenab]] after travelling in serpentine manner for hundereds of kilometers in Himachal Pradesh and pir panjal range of J&K.  Before Akhnoor Town  there is a fort located overlooking the river.The Fort was started in 1762 AD at the behest of Rajput Raja Tegh Singh.  His son Alam Singh completed the fort in 1802.
