Hello, Sat Sri Akal, Waheguru ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru ji ki Fateh, Namastae, Salaam, ਜੀ ਆਇਆਂ ਨੂੰ: Sant reyn Ji! A very warm welcome from SikhiWiki and many thanks for your contribution so far to the article Mahant Tirath Singh Ji. With Waheguru's kirpa, may you always remain in Chardi kala. Many thanks, Hari Singhtalk, 23:08, 2 June 2009 (UTC)

Sorry, please accept my apology

Vahegueu Ji Khalsa, Vaheguru ji Ki Fateh, I am truly sorry to have caused such comments. I am a student of the Gurus and I doubt I earn even the avid reader rank that you have given me.

Added after digesting your concerns: Sir, I have not added your name the friends you have ect. as I think you should add your own personal info on your user page.

Please Sir know that I never talk on or take side in any articles on this site. My contributions are only in the area of making articles more understandable, typos and spelling errors, because of OCR mistakes and culling repeated paragraphs (condensing) articles on occasion. I do not ever play politics.

I do not pretend to know enough to do more than that. I also expand articles as I find relevant news. I have spent time, as well doing maps, charts and cleaning up photos of Gurdwaras, ect. I hope this sets your mind at ease. I would prefer you educate me rather than beating up with who you know. You of course are welcome to review and edit anything I have done on Sikhiwiki, a site that have have only respect for. Sorry that we cannot be friends, as it seems you clearly are a source of knowledge that I would love to mine. Best regards. Allenwalla 12:34, 5 February 2010 (UTC)

my writing to you was to see if you were going to be one of the many people who have been up to mischief on the site. You clearly are not. I look forward to your forward contributions.

I was not aware that Sikhi even had ranks truly as you say I do not deserve to even touch the dust of your feet.

My contributions here are meant as sewa as I understand it. I would rather have remained unknown, but early on a fellow reader refused to answer some of my questions unless I told him a little of who I was. (a custom that seems to no longer being done.)

As to my comment on one edit where you used a particular word, that was not a complaint over any editing that I have done. I rather like the lines at the bottom of the edit frame. i.e. -- If you don't want your writing to be edited mercilessly, then don't submit it here.

I repeat I am a student of the lowest ranking, you have opened a salvo -- telling me just how important the people who you know are. Rather than sharing your knowledge with me, it seems you wish to beat me over the head with it.

I have removed my offensive comments - they were not meant to be offensive. I will not write again. However the comments remain in the history, if you need them as evidence - I am guessing from your words that you will seek to band my contributions.

I am writing, only because I assume you have already brought me to the attention of Gurmustuk Singh, Hari Singh, the Akal Takht and Avtar Singh Makkar. (me at times seems such a limiting word.)

Questions over your response below:

Your reference to my USER NAME, SANT REYN, not understanding the meaning of it, and your comments about the Taliban, have told me a lot about you. It makes me wonder who the extremist is. Please refrain from contacting me again, until I have brought this to the attention of Gurmustuk Singh, Hari Singh, the Akal Takht and Avtar Singh Makkar of the SGPC in Amritsar and the Damdami Taksal.

I hope you know who these gentlemen and these institutions are. I am terribly concerned about your contributions, and I sincerely hope that there are no more like you for the sake by my Panth.

I may have bruised your ego. I did not mean to. I did not know I was editing your contributions. I know of no contribution that I have made that hve been edited by you. (I own no contributions)

  • I have never heard of your user name SANT REYN it has no meaning to me. My comments on the taleban --

ans. I have read of their kidnapping the elder of a Sikh jatha that had remained in FATA. Demanding hundreds of thousands of dollars of them and then taking everything they owned. I also know that they hold women to be inferior beings whose education they seek to end.

  • It seems above that you think I am am extremist, as you compare me to the taleban.
  • and I sincerely hope that there are no more like you for the sake by my Panth.

ans As far as I know there are no more like me, would you rather I cease to participate? I have never thought myself to be doing anything to damage YOUR panth. I though Guru Nanak Dev and Guru Gobind Singh were about a one world panth - of peace and brotherhood. -- Sarbat da Bhala.

  • I may have bruised your ego. My ego is fine nothing you have done or said has offended me.
  • I did not know I was editing your contributions. As far as I know you have never edited any of my contributions.

Again, I am a student who appreciates any teaching or knowledge you may pass my way. I do not hold any rank, I do not know the people who mention, my contributions are an open book, I would rather my seva remain anonymous.

Thanks for the paths you have given me to learn of. I will be reading about--

  • Bhai Sahib Bhai Veer Singh Ji's writings like Guru Gobind Singh Chamatkar,
  • Twarikh Guru Khalsa by Giani Gian Singh Ji Nirmala,

Do you know if there is any writing by Mahant Baba Tirath Singh Ji Sevapanthi, or Mahant Baba Kahan Singh Ji that have been printed in English and since you didn't bother to tell me what SANT REYN means I will be looking for that as well.

I invite further comments, it seems some consider me an outsider and would rather not correspond with me. Again I have no rank, your knowledge leaves me in awe, I would truely love to be able to read Gurmukhi / Panjabi. But I am afraid my advanced age will not allow time for that.

Per your wishes, this is the last time I will bother you. I had only hoped to save you a lot of time by suggesting you change more than one word at a time, after seeing a whole page of your entries - each for one word. As they say - been there - done that.

Vahegueu Ji Khalsa, Vaheguru ji Ki Fateh, I am truly sorry to have offended you.

Rabb Rakha. Allenwalla 10:31, 5 February 2010 (UTC)

ps. I have looked through 3 page of SANT REYN entries, the net suggest RAYN - the only think I find is people and organizations by the name --perhaps, you would be so kind as to write an article on SANT REYN.

Also

General Ramzan Khan has not been mentioned anywhere on these pages, as this is the only page that mentions him.. Needs a citation (reference)

Welcome and keep up the good work. Allenwalla 09:17, 1 February 2010 (UTC)

As only God transforms

Bhai ji, Renderless is not a verb. When you attribute God's powers to Guru Nanak you have me wondering if you are up to mischief here, giving him powers that RSS Hindus might give to Vishnu. Transform means change form (shape). Magic is not something I think Guru ji was up to, he taught people, he gave lessons, others are said to have practiced magic-seems I remember a story here where someone changed Mardana into a Pig and that Guru Nanak changed him back into a man. As I understand it magic and superstitution are not part of Sikhi. People changed their beliefs their Gurus do not do that. They guide the way.

Many articles here (tens of thousands) have come from the internet or Peoples' books. If you set out to add the word Guru to every name of any Guru you are setting a very long task for yourself.

Rather than saving after each word, reading and changing each page might be easier.

You certainly have a lot of work cut out for yourself. Allenwalla 10:15, 4 February 2010 (UTC)

Bhai Sahib ji

Waheguru ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru ji ki Fateh

I noticed that you appeared to have replied to Allenwalla on your talk page. Bhai sahib, it is better if the reply is on the talk page of Allenwalla so that he is then alerted by the system to go to his talk page to read your comments - just one of those peculiar ways that the Wiki system works. Veer ji, any changes made by another user on ones talk page are alerted to the user on their next login.

I have moved the last edit on this page by you to Allenwalla's talk page; I hope you will be in agreement with me and forgive my intrusion into your domain. Kind regards and happy surfing. Aap ji koo, Guru ji dee fateh, Hari Singhtalk 08:04, 5 February 2010 (UTC)

Good to see you are back

Respected Bhai sahib ji, Waheguru ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru ji ki Fateh

Good to see you 're lending your unique knowledge and experiences to Sikhiwiki again.

Its nice to have someone using English words that send me to the dictionary (effulgent), for words I do not know or have forgotten long ago; my recall of latin root words are very rusty - fourty years since my college studies.

Your use of the word continent was a little more puzzling as I only knew the first definition.

1. one of the large landmasses of the earth; "there are seven continents"; "pioneers had to cross the continent on foot"
2. having control over urination and defecation
3. the European mainland; "Englishmen like to visit the Continent but they wouldn't like to live there"
4. celibate: abstaining from sexual intercourse; "celibate priests" (from: http://wordnetweb.princeton.edu/perl/webwn?s=continent)

Definitions 2, 3 and 4 were entirely new to me - I guess you'll send a lot of us less educated folks to the dictionary on that one.

I wish that you would lend your talents to going through the pages here, adding translations for the Punjabi words that almost always send me to my dictionary.

Again welcome back.

Rabb Rakha

Bhai Kanhaiya

Khalsa ji, Waheguru ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru ji ki Fateh

Many thanks for the amendments/changes to the above article. Just for your information: You changed the image file name from Image:BhaiKhaniya.jpg to Image:BhaiKanhaiya.jpg - this stopped the image from displaying correctly as the new image file did not exist. I hope this was a simple oversight on your part.

Once again, many thanks for your dedication and attention. Kind regards, 16:51, 6 April 2012 (CDT)
