Such beautiful photos of the wonderful Gurdwaras in Kenya - They are absolutely stunning. You have done a marvellous job today. You have added so much in one day - that which had not been done in the whole year as far as these Gurdwaras were concerned.

Your contribution in terms of travelling to the Gurdwaras; taking the pictures; then uploading of the photos, sorting them, adding detailed comments, etc - Your concerted effort is most appreciated and I am sure that many in the Sikh community worldwide will now be able enjoy these views. A very warm Jambo to a fellow wanainchi - Nice to have another Kenyan Sikh on SikhiWiki. I agree - the Gurdwaras there were special in their atmosphere, in the image that they projected and the in the focus that they provided to the community. I think the whole outlook of all the people was very appealing as all were there in the same boat for the same purpose and mission - firstly to survive and secondly to improve together - the brotherhood was unique.

The photos are great and they bring back some very distant memories - especially the Gurdwara in Thika as I remember this as a small child - probably when I was about 11 years old and also Makindu. Please add as and when you get the time and the material.

I think it should be fine to upload from Google Earth as long as we acknowledge them and it is for educational purposes - which it is!. I don't see any problems with copyright as these images are used all over the web. Load one or two and then I will then send an email and see if we get a response.

Jambo bwana, I guessed from the date stamp on the photos that you may have been to Kenya. Everything is well here in the UK. I hope you are all also keep in chardikala. Hope all went well with the wedding. I take it that the Anand Karaj was in Mombasa.

I have got the Nishan Sahib picture; I will set it up in the queue to go as the next picture on the main page. Its a beautiful Gurdwara.
