GuruMantra

GuruMantra - meaning of :- secret, tip,

GuruMantra is one word secret given by Guru/Teacher to His Sikhs/students. GuruMantra is Guru and Guru is in GuruMantra. It cannot be more than one word. All His knowledge is packed by Guru in it.

As a Gift of Love

Guru gives GuruMantra to His sikh out of love and grace. He also gives all his power and procedure to chant the Mantra. It is meant to be chanted by sikh with every breath. When a Sikh chants the GuruMantra, he unfolds the mysteries in it and gives him all treasures of knowledge and joy.

The Word “Waheguru” is GuruMantra

Bhai Gurdas Ji-renowned Sikh Scholar, says “The GuruMantra is Waheguru and chanting Waheguru, ego is removed”. GuruMantra of Sikhs is “Waheguru”. Its only “Waheguru” just one word. Its not even “Satnaam Waheguru”. It is pronounced as “Waa-Hay-Gu-Roo”. Waheguru GuruMantra includes everything in it - MoolMantra and entire Siri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Its Naad. It is nector. Whereever Siri Guru Granth Sahib ji says “Chant Naam, Har, Charan Kamal, Ram, Gobind, Ahah, etc”, He is referring to chant “Waheguru”. Other names of Waheguru in Siri Guru Granth Sahib Ji describe qualities of Waheguru. Those are secondary names. Primary name of God is “Waheguru”. Infact subject of Siri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is Waheguru and He tells us about Waheguru and His wonders.

Suffering, agony and fear don’t cling to one whose heart is filled with GuruMantra. (SGGS P. 51)

Nanak says always remember GuruMantra. (SGGS P.186)

Nanak says Guru has implanted GuruMantra inside me. (SGGS P.188)

The holy Saint has shown me the way to the Lord, I chant the GuruMantra. (SGGS P.321)

One who is blessed with the medicine of GuruMantra, the Name of the Lord, O Servant Nanak, does not suffer the agony of reincarnation. (SGGS P.1002)

The Divine Guru is the Giver -the teacher of the Lord’s Name. The Divine Guru is the Mantra which never fails. (SGGS).
