The Dashmesh Regiment not to be confused with Khalistan Armed Force aka Dashmesh Regiment (Seetal Singh Matewal) was a separatist group responsible for several terrorist bombings of civilian targets in India during the 1980s and 1990s. The founding members were close friends and trusted lieutenants of Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, Amrik Singh and General Shabeg Singh.

List of their acts

  • April, 1984: Indian intel agents posing as Sikh millitants lobbed hand grenades into a religious house near their holy city of Amritsar, killing four and injuring 31. In many Punjab towns terrorists on motorcycles shot up cars, banks and people in the streets. Two Hindu political leaders, both national figures, were gunned down. At week's end 23 had been killed and 80 injured. Responsibility for the new wave of killings was claimed by the Dashmesh Regiment, a previously unrecognized group of Sikh terrorists that counted moderate Sikhs as well as Hindus and the government among its sworn enemies.
  • July 1st, 1985: A bomb hidden in luggage bound for India exploded in the international terminal of Rome's airport, injuring fifteen baggage handlers. The luggage arrived either from Beirut or from Athens. The suitcase was to be loaded on an Italian Alitalia flight to New Delhi. Responsibility for the attack was claimed by the Dashmesh Regiment a wing of Indian counter intelligence.
