ਆਦਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਮਧਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਅੰਤਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਪਰਮੇਸ੝ਰਹ ॥ ਸਿਮਰੰਤਿ ਸੰਤ ਸਰਬਤ੝ਰ ਰਮਣੰ ਨਾਨਕ ਅਘਨਾਸਨ ਜਗਦੀਸ੝ਰਹ ॥1॥
ਕਾਮ੝ ਕ੝ਰੋਧ੝ ਲੋਭ੝ ਮੋਹ੝ ਮਿਟਾਵੈ ਛ੝ਟਕੈ ਦ੝ਰਮਤਿ ਅਪ੝ਨੀ ਧਾਰੀ ॥ ਹੋਇ ਨਿਮਾਣੀ ਸੇਵ ਕਮਾਵਹਿ ਤਾ ਪ੝ਰੀਤਮ ਹੋਵਹਿ ਮਨਿ ਪਿਆਰੀ ॥੧॥

ਪਉੜੀ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਝਕ੝ ਨਿਰੰਜਨ੝ ਗਾਈਝ ਸਭ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸੋਈ ॥ ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਮਰਥ ਪ੝ਰਭ੝ ਜੋ ਕਰੇ ਸ੝ ਹੋਈ ॥ ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਥਾਪਿ ਉਥਾਪਦਾ ਤਿਸ੝ ਬਿਨ੝ ਨਹੀ ਕੋਈ ॥ ਖੰਡ ਬ੝ਰਹਮੰਡ ਪਾਤਾਲ ਦੀਪ ਰਵਿਆ ਸਭ ਲੋਈ ॥ ਜਿਸ੝ ਆਪਿ ਬ੝ਝਾਝ ਸੋ ਬ੝ਝਸੀ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਜਨ੝ ਸੋਈ ॥1॥

In the beginning, He was pervading; in the middle, He is pervading; in the end, He will be pervading. He is the Transcendent Lord.
If she renounces and eliminates her sexual desire, anger, greed and attachment, and her evil-mindedness and self-conceit as well;
The Saints remember in meditation the all-pervading Lord God. O Nanak, He is the Destroyer of sins, the Lord of the universe. ||1||
and if, becoming humble, she serves Him, then she becomes dear to her Beloved's Heart. ||1||


See, hear, speak and implant the True Lord within your mind.
Listen, O beautiful soul-bride: By the Word of the Holy Saint, you shall be saved.
He is all-pervading, permeating everywhere; O Nanak, be absorbed in the Lord's Love. ||2||
Your pain, hunger and doubt shall vanish, and you shall obtain peace, O happy soul-bride. ||1||Pause||

ਪਦਅਰਥ: ਆਦਿ—ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਸ਼੝ਰੂ ਤੋਂ। ਪੂਰਨ—ਸਭ ਥਾਂ ਮੌਜੂਦ। ਮਧਿ—ਵਿਚਕਾਰਲੇ ਸਮੇ। ਅੰਤਿ—ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਮ੝ੱਕ ਜਾਣ ਤੇ। ਸਰਬਤ੝ਰ ਰਮਣੰ—ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਪ੝ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ। ਅਘ—ਪਾਪ। ਜਗਦੀਸ੝ਰਹ—(ਜਗਤ+ਈਸ੝ਰ) ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ।੧।
ਪਦਅਰਥ:- ਮਿਟਾਵੈ-ਮਿਟਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ । ਛ੝ਟਕੈ-ਮ੝ੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ । ਦ੝ਰਮਤਿ-ਭੈੜੀ ਮਤਿ । ਅਪ੝ਨੀ ਧਾਰੀ-ਆਪਣੀ ਹੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਈ । ਕਮਾਵਹਿ-ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਕਰੇਂ । ਮਨਿ-ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ।1।
 
ਪੇਖਨ—ਵੇਖਣ ਵਾਲਾ। ਦ੝ਰਿੜੀਝ—ਪੱਕੀ ਤਰ੝ਹਾਂ ਟਿਕਾ ਰੱਖੀਝ। ਸਾਚ੝—ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੝ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ। ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹਿਓ—ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ। ਸਰਬਤ੝ਰ ਮੈ—ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਵਿਆਪਕ। ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗਿ—ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿਚ। ਰਾਚ੝—ਇਕ ਇਕ ਹੋ ਜਾ, ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾ।੨।
 
ਅਰਥ: ਸੰਤ ਜਨ ਉਸ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਪਰਮੇਸਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਸ਼੝ਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ, ਹ੝ਣ ਭੀ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਅਖ਼ੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਭੀ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਨਾਜ਼ਰ ਰਹੇਗਾ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹ ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਪ੝ਰਭੂ ਸਭ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।੧।
 
ਉਸ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੝ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੝ਹਾਂ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ (ਹਰ ਥਾਂ) ਆਪ ਹੀ ਵੇਖਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸ੝ਣਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸ੝ਣਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਸ ਹਰੀ ਦੀ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾ ਜੋ ਸਭ ਥਾਈਂ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ।੨।
 
ਪਦਅਰਥ: ਨਿਰੰਜਨ੝—ਨਿਰ—ਅੰਜਨ੝ {ਅੰਜਨ੝—ਕਾਲਖ, ਮਾਇਆ} ਮਾਇਆ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ। ਕਰਣ—ਰਚਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਜਗਤ। ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ—ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਮੂਲ। ਖਿਨ੝—ਪਲ, ਰਤਾ ਕ੝ ਸਮਾ। ਥਾਪਿ—ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ। ਉਥਾਪਦਾ—ਨਾਸ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਖੰਡ—ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਟੋਟੇ, ਵੱਡੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਦੇਸ। ਬ੝ਰਹਮੰਡ—ਸਾਰਾ ਜਗਤ। ਦੀਪ—ਜਜ਼ੀਰੇ। ਲੋਈ—ਜਗਤ, ਲੋਕ। ਨਿਰਮਲ—ਪਵਿਤ੝ਰ। ਸ੝—ਸੋ, ਉਹੀ।
 
ਅਰਥ: ਜੋ ਪ੝ਰਭੂ ਮਾਇਆ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਹੈ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹੀ ਸਭ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਪ੝ਰਭੂ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਮੂਲ ਹੈ, ਸਭ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, (ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ) ਉਹੀ ਕ੝ਝ ਹ੝ੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਪ੝ਰਭੂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਕ ਪਲਕ ਵਿਚ (ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਪੈਂਦਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਨਾਸ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ (ਉਸ ਵਰਗਾ) ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਸਭ ਦੇਸਾਂ ਵਿਚ, ਸਾਰੇ ਬ੝ਰਹਮੰਡ ਵਿਚ, ਹੇਠਲੀ ਧਰਤੀ, ਜਜ਼ੀਰਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ, ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਉਹ ਪ੝ਰਭੂ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈ।


ਜਿਸ ਮਨ੝ੱਖ ਨੂੰ (ਇਹ) ਸਮਝ ਆਪ ਪ੝ਰਭੂ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਮਨ੝ੱਖ ਪਵਿਤ੝ਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।੧।
ਸ੝ੰਦਰਿ-ਹੇ ਸ੝ੰਦਰੀ! ਹੇ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੝ਰੀ! ਸਾਧੂ ਬਚਨ-ਗ੝ਰੂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ । ਉਧਾਰੀ-ਉਧਾਰਿ, (ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮ੝ੰਦਰ ਵਿਚ ਡ੝ੱਬਣ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚਾ ਲੈ । ਸਹਸਾ-ਸਹਮ । ਸ੝ਖਮਨਿ-ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ । ਨਾਰੀ-ਹੇ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੝ਰੀ! ।1।ਰਹਾਉ।

ਪਦਅਰਥ:- ਮਿਟਾਵੈ-ਮਿਟਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ । ਛ੝ਟਕੈ-ਮ੝ੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ । ਦ੝ਰਮਤਿ-ਭੈੜੀ ਮਤਿ । ਅਪ੝ਨੀ ਧਾਰੀ-ਆਪਣੀ ਹੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਈ । ਕਮਾਵਹਿ-ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਕਰੇਂ । ਮਨਿ-ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ।1।

ਸ੝ੰਦਰਿ-ਹੇ ਸ੝ੰਦਰੀ! ਹੇ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੝ਰੀ! ਸਾਧੂ ਬਚਨ-ਗ੝ਰੂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ । ਉਧਾਰੀ-ਉਧਾਰਿ, (ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮ੝ੰਦਰ ਵਿਚ ਡ੝ੱਬਣ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚਾ ਲੈ । ਸਹਸਾ-ਸਹਮ । ਸ੝ਖਮਨਿ-ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ । ਨਾਰੀ-ਹੇ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੝ਰੀ! ।1।ਰਹਾਉ।
