ਕਿਤੈ ਪ੝ਰਕਾਰਿ ਨ ਤੂਟਉ ਪ੝ਰੀਤਿ ॥ ਦਾਸ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੀ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਰੀਤਿ ॥1॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਕਾਮ੝ ਕ੝ਰੋਧ੝ ਲੋਭ੝ ਮੋਹ੝ ਮਿਟਾਵੈ ਛ੝ਟਕੈ ਦ੝ਰਮਤਿ ਅਪ੝ਨੀ ਧਾਰੀ ॥ ਹੋਇ ਨਿਮਾਣੀ ਸੇਵ ਕਮਾਵਹਿ ਤਾ ਪ੝ਰੀਤਮ ਹੋਵਹਿ ਮਨਿ ਪਿਆਰੀ ॥੧॥

The lifestyle of Your slave is so pure, that nothing can break his love for You. ||1||Pause||


He is more dear to me than my soul, my breath of life, my mind and my wealth.
If she renounces and eliminates her sexual desire, anger, greed and attachment, and her evil-mindedness and self-conceit as well;
The Lord is the Giver, the Restrainer of the ego. ||1||
and if, becoming humble, she serves Him, then she becomes dear to her Beloved's Heart. ||1||


I am in love with the Lord's lotus feet.
Listen, O beautiful soul-bride: By the Word of the Holy Saint, you shall be saved.
This alone is Nanak's prayer. ||2||4||58||
Your pain, hunger and doubt shall vanish, and you shall obtain peace, O happy soul-bride. ||1||Pause||

ਪਦਅਰਥ: ਕਿਤੈ ਪ੝ਰਕਾਰਿ—ਕਿਸੇ ਤਰ੝ਹਾਂ ਭੀ। ਨ ਤੂਟਉ—ਟ੝ੱਟ ਨਾਹ ਜਾਝ। ਨਿਰਮਲ—ਪਵਿਤ੝ਰ। ਰੀਤਿ—ਜੀਵਨ—ਜ੝ਗਤਿ, ਜੀਵਨ—ਮਰਯਾਦਾ, ਰਹਿਣੀ—ਬਹਿਣੀ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
ਪਦਅਰਥ:- ਮਿਟਾਵੈ-ਮਿਟਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ । ਛ੝ਟਕੈ-ਮ੝ੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ । ਦ੝ਰਮਤਿ-ਭੈੜੀ ਮਤਿ । ਅਪ੝ਨੀ ਧਾਰੀ-ਆਪਣੀ ਹੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਈ । ਕਮਾਵਹਿ-ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਕਰੇਂ । ਮਨਿ-ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ।1।
 
ਜੀਅ ਤੇ—ਜਿੰਦ ਨਾਲੋਂ। ਬੰਧ੝—ਰੋਕ, ਬੰਨ੝ਹ। ਦੇਵਣਹਾਰਾ—ਦੇਣ—ਜੋਗਾ।੧।
 
ਸਿਉ—ਨਾਲ। ਲਾਗਉ—ਲੱਗੀ ਰਹੇ। ਨੇਹ੝—ਪਿਆਰ, ਪ੝ਰੀਤਿ।੨।
 
ਅਰਥ: ਹੇ ਪ੝ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰੇ ਦਾਸਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਹਿਣੀ-ਬਹਿਣੀ ਪਵਿਤ੝ਰ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤਾ ਕਿ ਕਿਸੇ ਤਰ੝ਹਾਂ ਭੀ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲੋਂ) ਪ੝ਰੀਤਿ ਟ੝ੱਟ ਨਾਹ ਜਾਝ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
 
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਦਾਸਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਨਾਲੋਂ, ਪ੝ਰਾਣਾਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ, ਮਨ ਨਾਲੋਂ, ਧਨ ਨਾਲੋਂ, ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਹਉਮੈ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਵਿਚ ਬੰਨ੝ਹ ਮਾਰਨ ਦੀ ਸਮਰਥਾ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ।੧।


ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਨਾਨਕ ਦੀ (ਭੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ ਸਦਾ) ਇਹੀ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ (ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾ) ਪਿਆਰ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹੇ।੨।੪।੫੮।
ਸ੝ੰਦਰਿ-ਹੇ ਸ੝ੰਦਰੀ! ਹੇ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੝ਰੀ! ਸਾਧੂ ਬਚਨ-ਗ੝ਰੂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ । ਉਧਾਰੀ-ਉਧਾਰਿ, (ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮ੝ੰਦਰ ਵਿਚ ਡ੝ੱਬਣ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚਾ ਲੈ । ਸਹਸਾ-ਸਹਮ । ਸ੝ਖਮਨਿ-ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ । ਨਾਰੀ-ਹੇ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੝ਰੀ! ।1।ਰਹਾਉ।

ਕਾਮ੝ ਕ੝ਰੋਧ੝ ਲੋਭ੝ ਮੋਹ੝ ਮਿਟਾਵੈ ਛ੝ਟਕੈ ਦ੝ਰਮਤਿ ਅਪ੝ਨੀ ਧਾਰੀ ॥ ਹੋਇ ਨਿਮਾਣੀ ਸੇਵ ਕਮਾਵਹਿ ਤਾ ਪ੝ਰੀਤਮ ਹੋਵਹਿ ਮਨਿ ਪਿਆਰੀ ॥੧॥

ਪਦਅਰਥ:- ਮਿਟਾਵੈ-ਮਿਟਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ । ਛ੝ਟਕੈ-ਮ੝ੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ । ਦ੝ਰਮਤਿ-ਭੈੜੀ ਮਤਿ । ਅਪ੝ਨੀ ਧਾਰੀ-ਆਪਣੀ ਹੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਈ । ਕਮਾਵਹਿ-ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਕਰੇਂ । ਮਨਿ-ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ।1।

ਸ੝ੰਦਰਿ-ਹੇ ਸ੝ੰਦਰੀ! ਹੇ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੝ਰੀ! ਸਾਧੂ ਬਚਨ-ਗ੝ਰੂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ । ਉਧਾਰੀ-ਉਧਾਰਿ, (ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮ੝ੰਦਰ ਵਿਚ ਡ੝ੱਬਣ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚਾ ਲੈ । ਸਹਸਾ-ਸਹਮ । ਸ੝ਖਮਨਿ-ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ । ਨਾਰੀ-ਹੇ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੝ਰੀ! ।1।ਰਹਾਉ।
