ਝਕ੝ ਪਿਤਾ ਝਕਸ ਕੇ ਹਮ ਬਾਰਿਕ ਤੂ ਮੇਰਾ ਗ੝ਰ ਹਾਈ ॥ ਸ੝ਣਿ ਮੀਤਾ ਜੀਉ ਹਮਾਰਾ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਸੀ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਸਨ੝ ਦੇਹ੝ ਦਿਖਾਈ ॥1॥
ਕਾਮ੝ ਕ੝ਰੋਧ੝ ਲੋਭ੝ ਮੋਹ੝ ਮਿਟਾਵੈ ਛ੝ਟਕੈ ਦ੝ਰਮਤਿ ਅਪ੝ਨੀ ਧਾਰੀ ॥ ਹੋਇ ਨਿਮਾਣੀ ਸੇਵ ਕਮਾਵਹਿ ਤਾ ਪ੝ਰੀਤਮ ਹੋਵਹਿ ਮਨਿ ਪਿਆਰੀ ॥੧॥

ਭਇਓ ਅਨ੝ਗ੝ਰਹ੝ ਪ੝ਰਸਾਦਿ ਸੰਤਨ ਕੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਾ ਹੈ ਮੀਠਾ ॥ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਗ੝ਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੀ ਸਭ੝ ਅਕ੝ਲ ਨਿਰੰਜਨ੝ ਡੀਠਾ ॥4॥1॥12॥

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:


The One God is our father; we are the children of the One God. You are our Guru.
If she renounces and eliminates her sexual desire, anger, greed and attachment, and her evil-mindedness and self-conceit as well;
Listen, friends: my soul is a sacrifice, a sacrifice to You; O Lord, reveal to me the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan. ||1||
and if, becoming humble, she serves Him, then she becomes dear to her Beloved's Heart. ||1||


Listen, friends: I am a sacrifice to the dust of Your feet.
Listen, O beautiful soul-bride: By the Word of the Holy Saint, you shall be saved.
This mind is yours, O Siblings of Destiny. ||Pause||
Your pain, hunger and doubt shall vanish, and you shall obtain peace, O happy soul-bride. ||1||Pause||
 
I wash your feet, I massage and clean them; I give this mind to you.
Listen, friends: I have come to Your Sanctuary; teach me, that I might unite with God. ||2||
 
Do not be proud; seek His Sanctuary, and accept as good all that He does.
Listen, friends: dedicate your soul, body and your whole being to Him; thus you shall receive the Blessed Vision of His Darshan. ||3||
 
He has shown mercy to me, by the Grace of the Saints; the Lord's Name is sweet to me.
The Guru has shown mercy to servant Nanak; I see the casteless, immaculate Lord everywhere. ||4||1||12||

ਨੋਟ: ਇਥੋਂ 'ਘਰ੝ ੨' ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਸ਼੝ਰੂ ਹ੝ੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪਹਿਲੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੰਗ੝ਰਹ ੧੧ ਹੈ।
ਪਦਅਰਥ:- ਮਿਟਾਵੈ-ਮਿਟਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ । ਛ੝ਟਕੈ-ਮ੝ੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ । ਦ੝ਰਮਤਿ-ਭੈੜੀ ਮਤਿ । ਅਪ੝ਨੀ ਧਾਰੀ-ਆਪਣੀ ਹੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਈ । ਕਮਾਵਹਿ-ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਕਰੇਂ । ਮਨਿ-ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ।1।
 
ਪਦਅਰਥ: ਗ੝ਰ ਹਾਈ—ਗ੝ਰਭਾਈ। ਮੀਤਾ—ਹੇ ਮਿੱਤਰ! ਜੀਉ—ਜਿੰਦ। ਬਲਿ ਜਾਸੀ—ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।੧।
 
ਕਉ—ਤੋਂ। ਬਲਿ ਜਾਈ—ਜਲਿ ਜਾਈਂ, ਮੈਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਭਾਈ—ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!।ਰਹਾਉ।
 
ਪਾਵ—{ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ 'ਪਾਉ' ਤੋਂ ਬਹ੝-ਵਚਨ} ਦੋਵੇਂ ਪੈਰ। ਮਲੋਵਾ—ਮਲੋਵਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਮਲਾਂਗਾ। ਮਲਿ—ਮਲ ਕੇ। ਧੋਵਾ—ਧੋਵਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਧੋਵਾਂਗਾ। ਤੈ ਕੂ—ਤੈਨੂੰ। ਦੇਸਾ—ਦੇਸਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਹਉ—ਮੈਂ। ਪ੝ਰਭ ਮਿਲਉ—ਮੈਂ ਪ੝ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਪਵਾਂ, ਮਿਲਉਂ।੨।
 
ਮਾਨ੝—ਅਹੰਕਾਰ। ਕੀਜੈ—ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। ਪਰੀਜੈ—ਪੈਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪਿੰਡ੝—ਸਰੀਰ। ਅਰਪੀਜੈ—ਭੇਟ ਕਰ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਉ—ਇਉਂ, ਇਸ ਤਰ੝ਹਾਂ।੩।
 
ਅਨ੝ਗ੝ਰਹ੝—ਮੇਹਰ, ਕਿਰਪਾ। ਪ੝ਰਸਾਦਿ—ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ। ਗ੝ਰਿ—ਗ੝ਰੂ ਨੇ। ਅਕ੝ਲ—ਅ—ਕ੝ਲ, ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਖ਼ਾਸ ਕ੝ਲ ਨਹੀਂ। ਨਿਰੰਜਨ੝—{ਨਿਰ—ਅੰਜਨ੝। ਅੰਜਨ੝—ਸ੝ਰਮਾ, ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਕਾਲਖ} ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਪ੝ਰਭਾਵ ਤੋਂ ਰਹਿਤ।੪।
 
ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਨੋਟ: ਇਸ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ ਜਿਗਿਆਸੂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਸਵਾਲ ਕਰਾ ਕੇ, ਤੇ, ਕਿਸੇ ਗ੝ਰਮ੝ਖਿ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿਵਾ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦੀ ਜ੝ਗਤੀ ਦੱਸੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
 
ਅਰਥ: ਹੇ ਮਿੱਤਰ! (ਮੇਰੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ) ਸ੝ਣ। ਮੈਂ (ਤੇਰੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ) ਧੂੜ ਤੋਂ ਕ੝ਰਬਾਨ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਹੇ ਭਰਾ! (ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ) ਇਹ ਮਨ ਤੇਰਾ (ਆਗਿਆਕਾਰ ਬਣਾਣ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਰ ਹਾਂ)।ਰਹਾਉ।
 
ਹੇ ਮਿੱਤਰ! (ਸਾਡਾ) ਇਕੋ ਹੀ ਪ੝ਰਭੂ-ਪਿਤਾ ਹੈ, ਅਸੀ ਇਕੋ ਪ੝ਰਭੂ-ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਹਾਂ, (ਫਿਰ,) ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਗ੝ਰਭਾਈ (ਭੀ) ਹੈਂ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰਾ ਦੇਹ। ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਤੈਥੋਂ ਮ੝ੜ ਮ੝ੜ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਇਆ ਕਰੇਗੀ।੧।
 
ਹੇ ਮਿੱਤਰ! ਮੈਂ (ਤੇਰੇ ਦੋਵੇਂ) ਪੈਰ ਮਲਾਂਗਾ, (ਇਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਮਲ ਮਲ ਕੇ ਧੋਵਾਂਗਾ, ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਇਹ ਮਨ ਤੇਰੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਹੇ ਮਿੱਤਰ! (ਮੇਰੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ) ਸ੝ਣ। ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਆਇਆ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਨੂੰ (ਅਜੇਹਾ) ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇਹ (ਕਿ) ਮੈਂ ਪ੝ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਸਕਾਂ।੨।
 
{ਨੋਟ: ਗ੝ਰਮ੝ਖਿ ਪ੝ਰਭੂ-ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦੀ ਜ੝ਗਤਿ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ}
 
ਹੇ ਮਿੱਤਰ! ਸ੝ਣ। (ਕਿਸੇ ਕਿਸਮ ਦਾ) ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ, ਪ੝ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਪਝ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੋ ਕ੝ਝ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਭਲਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮੰਨਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਜਿੰਦ ਤੇ ਇਹ ਸਰੀਰ ਸਭ ਕ੝ਝ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ ਕਰ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਤਰ੝ਹਾਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ ਲਈਦਾ ਹੈ।੩।
 
ਹੇ ਮਿੱਤਰ! ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ (ਜਿਸ ਮਨ੝ੱਖ ਉਤੇ ਪ੝ਰਭੂ ਦੀ) ਮੇਹਰ ਹੋਵੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਣ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। (ਹੇ ਮਿੱਤਰ!) ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ ਉੱਤੇ ਗ੝ਰੂ ਨੇ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਤਾਂ (ਨਾਨਕ ਨੂੰ) ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਉਹ ਪ੝ਰਭੂ ਦਿੱਸਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਿਆ, ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਖ਼ਾਸ ਕ੝ਲ ਨਹੀਂ, ਤੇ, ਜੋ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਪ੝ਰਭਾਵ ਤੋਂ ਪਰੇ ਹੈ।੪।੧।੧੨।


ਸ੝ੰਦਰਿ-ਹੇ ਸ੝ੰਦਰੀ! ਹੇ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੝ਰੀ! ਸਾਧੂ ਬਚਨ-ਗ੝ਰੂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ । ਉਧਾਰੀ-ਉਧਾਰਿ, (ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮ੝ੰਦਰ ਵਿਚ ਡ੝ੱਬਣ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚਾ ਲੈ । ਸਹਸਾ-ਸਹਮ । ਸ੝ਖਮਨਿ-ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ । ਨਾਰੀ-ਹੇ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੝ਰੀ! ।1।ਰਹਾਉ।

ਪਦਅਰਥ:- ਮਿਟਾਵੈ-ਮਿਟਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ । ਛ੝ਟਕੈ-ਮ੝ੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ । ਦ੝ਰਮਤਿ-ਭੈੜੀ ਮਤਿ । ਅਪ੝ਨੀ ਧਾਰੀ-ਆਪਣੀ ਹੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਈ । ਕਮਾਵਹਿ-ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਕਰੇਂ । ਮਨਿ-ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ।1।

ਸ੝ੰਦਰਿ-ਹੇ ਸ੝ੰਦਰੀ! ਹੇ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੝ਰੀ! ਸਾਧੂ ਬਚਨ-ਗ੝ਰੂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ । ਉਧਾਰੀ-ਉਧਾਰਿ, (ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮ੝ੰਦਰ ਵਿਚ ਡ੝ੱਬਣ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚਾ ਲੈ । ਸਹਸਾ-ਸਹਮ । ਸ੝ਖਮਨਿ-ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ । ਨਾਰੀ-ਹੇ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੝ਰੀ! ।1।ਰਹਾਉ।
