ਕਾਮ੝ ਕ੝ਰੋਧ੝ ਲੋਭ੝ ਮੋਹ੝ ਮਿਟਾਵੈ ਛ੝ਟਕੈ ਦ੝ਰਮਤਿ ਅਪ੝ਨੀ ਧਾਰੀ ॥ ਹੋਇ ਨਿਮਾਣੀ ਸੇਵ ਕਮਾਵਹਿ ਤਾ ਪ੝ਰੀਤਮ ਹੋਵਹਿ ਮਨਿ ਪਿਆਰੀ ॥੧॥

ਪਦਅਰਥ: ਮੰਡਲ੝—ਮੰਡੂਆ। ਅਖਾਰਾ—ਜਗਤ—ਅਖਾੜਾ। ਸਗਲੋ ਪਾਸਾਰਾ—ਸਾਰਾ ਜਗਤ—ਖਿਲਾਰਾ। ਸਾਜ—ਸਾਜ ਕੇ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
 
ਬਹ੝ ਬਿਧਿ—ਕਈ ਕਿਸਮਾਂ ਦੇ। ਆਪਾਰਾ—ਬੇਅੰਤ। ਪੇਖੈ—ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹਾਰਾ—ਥੱਕਦਾ। ਸਭਿ—ਸਾਰੇ। ਬਸਤ—ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ। ਨਿਰਾਰਾ—ਨਿਰਾਲਾ, ਵੱਖਰਾ, ਨਿਰਲੇਪ।੧।
 
ਬਰਨ੝—ਰੰਗ। ਚਿਹਨ੝—ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ। ਮਾਸਾਰਾ—ਦਾੜ੝ਹੀ। ਰੇਣ—ਧੂੜ।੨।
 
ਅਰਥ: ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਇਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਜਗਤ-ਖਿਲਾਰਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਬਣਾ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਹ (ਮਾਨੋ) ਉਸ ਨੇ (ਰਾਸਾਂ ਪਾਣ ਲਈ) ਅਖਾੜਾ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਰਾਸਾਂ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਮੰਡੂਆ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
 
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! (ਇਸ ਜਗਤ-ਅਖਾੜੇ ਵਿਚ) ਕਈ ਕਿਸਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਰੂਪ ਹਨ ਰੰਗ ਹਨ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ) ਖ਼੝ਸ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਦੇ) ਭੋਗ (ਭੋਗਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਭੋਗਦਾ) ਥੱਕਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ। ਸਾਰੇ ਰਸ ਮਾਣਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਭੀ ਉਹ ਪ੝ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਹੀ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।੧।
 
ਹੇ ਪ੝ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰਾ ਰਚਿਆ ਜਗਤ-ਖੇਲ ਬਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ। ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਹ ਕੋਈ ਰੰਗ ਹੈ, ਨਾਹ ਕੋਈ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਹੈ, ਨਾਹ ਤੇਰਾ ਕੋਈ ਮੂੰਹ ਹੈ, ਨਾਹ ਕੋਈ ਦਾੜ੝ਹੀ ਹੈ।
 
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-ਹੇ ਪ੝ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਤੇਰੇ) ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹਾਂ।੨।੨।੪੫।

The Lord has made this world a stage;
If she renounces and eliminates her sexual desire, anger, greed and attachment, and her evil-mindedness and self-conceit as well;
He fashioned the expanse of the entire creation. ||1||Pause||
and if, becoming humble, she serves Him, then she becomes dear to her Beloved's Heart. ||1||


He fashioned it in various ways, with limitless colors and forms.
Listen, O beautiful soul-bride: By the Word of the Holy Saint, you shall be saved.
He watches over it with joy, and He never tires of enjoying it.
Your pain, hunger and doubt shall vanish, and you shall obtain peace, O happy soul-bride. ||1||Pause||
He enjoys all the delights, and yet He remains unattached. ||1||


He has no color, no sign, no mouth and no beard.

ਪਦਅਰਥ:- ਮਿਟਾਵੈ-ਮਿਟਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ । ਛ੝ਟਕੈ-ਮ੝ੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ । ਦ੝ਰਮਤਿ-ਭੈੜੀ ਮਤਿ । ਅਪ੝ਨੀ ਧਾਰੀ-ਆਪਣੀ ਹੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਈ । ਕਮਾਵਹਿ-ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਕਰੇਂ । ਮਨਿ-ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ।1।


ਸ੝ੰਦਰਿ-ਹੇ ਸ੝ੰਦਰੀ! ਹੇ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੝ਰੀ! ਸਾਧੂ ਬਚਨ-ਗ੝ਰੂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ । ਉਧਾਰੀ-ਉਧਾਰਿ, (ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮ੝ੰਦਰ ਵਿਚ ਡ੝ੱਬਣ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚਾ ਲੈ । ਸਹਸਾ-ਸਹਮ । ਸ੝ਖਮਨਿ-ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ । ਨਾਰੀ-ਹੇ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੝ਰੀ! ।1।ਰਹਾਉ।

ਕਾਮ੝ ਕ੝ਰੋਧ੝ ਲੋਭ੝ ਮੋਹ੝ ਮਿਟਾਵੈ ਛ੝ਟਕੈ ਦ੝ਰਮਤਿ ਅਪ੝ਨੀ ਧਾਰੀ ॥ ਹੋਇ ਨਿਮਾਣੀ ਸੇਵ ਕਮਾਵਹਿ ਤਾ ਪ੝ਰੀਤਮ ਹੋਵਹਿ ਮਨਿ ਪਿਆਰੀ ॥੧॥

Aasaa, Fifth Mehla:

ਪਦਅਰਥ:- ਮਿਟਾਵੈ-ਮਿਟਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ । ਛ੝ਟਕੈ-ਮ੝ੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ । ਦ੝ਰਮਤਿ-ਭੈੜੀ ਮਤਿ । ਅਪ੝ਨੀ ਧਾਰੀ-ਆਪਣੀ ਹੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਈ । ਕਮਾਵਹਿ-ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਕਰੇਂ । ਮਨਿ-ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ।1।

ਸ੝ੰਦਰਿ-ਹੇ ਸ੝ੰਦਰੀ! ਹੇ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੝ਰੀ! ਸਾਧੂ ਬਚਨ-ਗ੝ਰੂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ । ਉਧਾਰੀ-ਉਧਾਰਿ, (ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮ੝ੰਦਰ ਵਿਚ ਡ੝ੱਬਣ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚਾ ਲੈ । ਸਹਸਾ-ਸਹਮ । ਸ੝ਖਮਨਿ-ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ । ਨਾਰੀ-ਹੇ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੝ਰੀ! ।1।ਰਹਾਉ।
