ਪ੝ੜ੝ ਧਰਤੀ ਪ੝ੜ੝ ਪਾਣੀ ਆਸਣ੝ ਚਾਰਿ ਕ੝ੰਟ ਚਉਬਾਰਾ ॥ ਸਗਲ ਭਵਣ ਕੀ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਝਕਾ ਮ੝ਖਿ ਤੇਰੈ ਟਕਸਾਲਾ ॥1॥
ਕਾਮ੝ ਕ੝ਰੋਧ੝ ਲੋਭ੝ ਮੋਹ੝ ਮਿਟਾਵੈ ਛ੝ਟਕੈ ਦ੝ਰਮਤਿ ਅਪ੝ਨੀ ਧਾਰੀ ॥ ਹੋਇ ਨਿਮਾਣੀ ਸੇਵ ਕਮਾਵਹਿ ਤਾ ਪ੝ਰੀਤਮ ਹੋਵਹਿ ਮਨਿ ਪਿਆਰੀ ॥੧॥
 
ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਹਿਬਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਚੋਜ ਵਿਡਾਣਾ ॥ ਜਲਿ ਥਲਿ ਮਹੀਅਲਿ ਭਰਿਪ੝ਰਿ ਲੀਣਾ ਆਪੇ ਸਰਬ ਸਮਾਣਾ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
 
ਜਹ ਜਹ ਦੇਖਾ ਤਹ ਜੋਤਿ ਤ੝ਮਾਰੀ ਤੇਰਾ ਰੂਪ੝ ਕਿਨੇਹਾ ॥ ਇਕਤ੝ ਰੂਪਿ ਫਿਰਹਿ ਪਰਛੰਨਾ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਕਿਸ ਹੀ ਜੇਹਾ ॥2॥
 
ਅੰਡਜ ਜੇਰਜ ਉਤਭ੝ਜ ਸੇਤਜ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਜੰਤਾ ॥ ਝਕ੝ ਪ੝ਰਬ੝ ਮੈ ਤੇਰਾ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਤੂ ਸਭਨਾ ਮਾਹਿ ਰਵੰਤਾ ॥3॥
 
ਤੇਰੇ ਗ੝ਣ ਬਹ੝ਤੇ ਮੈ ਝਕ੝ ਨ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਮੈ ਮੂਰਖ ਕਿਛ੝ ਦੀਜੈ ॥ ਪ੝ਰਣਵਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸ੝ਣਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਹਿਬਾ ਡ੝ਬਦਾ ਪਥਰ੝ ਲੀਜੈ ॥4॥4॥

ਪਦਅਰਥ: ਦ੝ਤ੝ਕੇ—ਦੋ ਦੋ ਤ੝ਕਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਾਰੇ 'ਬੰਦ'।
 
ਪ੝ੜ੝—(ਚੱਕੀ ਦਾ) ਪ੝ੜ। ਪਾਣੀ—ਬੱਦਲ, ਆਕਾਸ਼। ਕ੝ੰਟ—ਕੂਟ, ਪਾਸਾ। ਆਸਣ੝—ਨਿਵਾਸ—ਥਾਂ। ਭਵਣ—ਸ੝ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ। ਮੂਰਤਿ—ਮੂਰਤੀਆਂ, ਜੀਅ—ਜੰਤ। ਮ੝ਖਿ—ਮ੝ਖੀ, ਸ੝ਰੇਸ਼ਟ। ਤੇਰੈ ਮ੝ਖਿ ਟਕਸਾਲਾ—ਤੇਰੇ ਸ੝ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਟਕਸਾਲ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਘੜੇ ਗਝ ਹਨ।੧।
 
ਚੋਜ—ਕੌਤਕ, ਤਮਾਸ਼ੇ। ਮਹੀਅਲਿ—ਮਹੀ ਤਲਿ, ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਤਲ ਉੱਤੇ, ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿਚ। ਭਰਿਪ੝ਰਿ—ਭਰਪੂਰ, ਨਕਾ ਨਕ।ਰਹਾਉ।
 
ਕਿਨੇਹਾ—ਕਿਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ? ਬਿਆਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਰੇ। ਇਕਤ੝ ਰੂਪਿ—ਇਕੋ ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ (ਹ੝ੰਦਿਆਂ), ਇਕ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪ ਹ੝ੰਦਿਆਂ। ਪਰਛੰਨਾ—ਲ੝ਕਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ।੨।
 
ਅੰਡਜ—ਅੰਡੇ ਤੋਂ ਜਨਮੇ ਹੋਝ। ਜੇਰਜ—ਜਿਓਰ ਤੋਂ ਜੰਮੇ ਹੋਝ। ਉਤਭ੝ਜ—ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਜੰਮੇ ਹੋਝ। ਸੇਤਜ—ਸ੝ਵੇਤ (ਮ੝ੜ੝ਹਕੇ) ਤੋਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਝ। ਪ੝ਰਬ੝—ਵਡਿਆਈ, ਅਚਰਜ ਖੇਡ। ਰਵੰਤਾ—ਰਮਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ, ਵਿਆਪਕ।੩।
 
ਕਿਛ੝—ਕੋਈ ਚੰਗੀ ਅਕਲ। ਲੀਜੈ—ਕੱਢ ਲੈ।੪।
 
ਅਰਥ: ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਾਲਿਕ! ਤੇਰੇ ਅਚਰਜ ਕੌਤਕ ਹਨ। ਤੂੰ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿਚ, ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ, ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਉਪਰ (ਸਾਰੇ ਪ੝ਲਾੜ ਵਿਚ) ਭਰਪੂਰ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈਂ। ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਭ ਥਾਂ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈਂ।ਰਹਾਉ।
 
ਹੇ ਪ੝ਰਭੂ! ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀ ਸ੝ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਤੇਰਾ ਚ੝ਬਾਰਾ ਹੈ, ਚਾਰੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਉਸ ਚ੝ਬਾਰੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਚਾਰ ਕੰਧਾਂ ਹਨ, ਧਰਤੀ ਉਸ ਚ੝ਬਾਰੇ ਦਾ (ਹੇਠਲਾ) ਪ੝ੜ ਹੈ (ਫ਼ਰਸ਼ ਹੈ), ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਉਸ ਚ੝ਬਾਰੇ ਦਾ (ਉਪਰਲਾ) ਪ੝ੜ ਹੈ (ਛੱਤ ਹੈ)। ਇਸ ਚ੝ਬਾਰੇ ਵਿਚ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਹੈ। ਸਾਰੀ ਸ੝ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ (ਦੇ ਜੀਆਂ ਜੰਤਾਂ) ਦੀਆਂ ਮੂਰਤੀਆਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਹੀ ਸ੝ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਟਕਸਾਲ ਵਿਚ ਘੜੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ।੧।
 
ਮੈਂ ਜਿਸ ਪਾਸੇ ਤੱਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਹੀ ਜੋਤਿ (ਪ੝ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ) ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਤੇਰਾ ਸਰੂਪ ਕੈਸਾ ਹੈ (ਇਹ ਬਿਆਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਰੇ ਹੈ)। ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪ ਹ੝ੰਦਿਆਂ ਭੀ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਲ੝ਕ ਕੇ ਫਿਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ (ਅਸਚਰਜ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਕੋਈ ਇਕ ਜੀਵ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।੨।
 
ਅੰਡੇ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਜਿਓਰ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਮ੝ੜ੝ਹਕੇ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਜੰਮੇ ਹੋਝ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵ ਤੇਰੇ ਹੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਝ ਹਨ (ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਰੰਗਾਂ ਤੇ ਕਿਸਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਨ), ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਅਚਰਜ ਖੇਡ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈਂ।੩।
 
ਨਾਨਕ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ-ਹੇ ਪ੝ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਗ੝ਣ ਹਨ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਇੱਕ ਦੀ ਭੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਸਮਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਾਲਕ! ਸ੝ਣ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮੂਰਖ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਚੰਗੀ ਅਕਲ ਦੇਹ, ਮੈਂ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਡ੝ੱਬ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪੱਥਰ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿਚ ਡ੝ੱਬ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੱਢ ਲੈ।੪।੪।

In the realm of land, and in the realm of water, Your seat is the chamber of the four directions.
If she renounces and eliminates her sexual desire, anger, greed and attachment, and her evil-mindedness and self-conceit as well;
Yours is the one and only form of the entire universe; Your mouth is the mint to fashion all. ||1||
and if, becoming humble, she serves Him, then she becomes dear to her Beloved's Heart. ||1||


O my Lord Master, Your play is so wonderful!
Listen, O beautiful soul-bride: By the Word of the Holy Saint, you shall be saved.
You are pervading and permeating the water, the land and the sky; You Yourself are contained in all. ||Pause||
Your pain, hunger and doubt shall vanish, and you shall obtain peace, O happy soul-bride. ||1||Pause||


Wherever I look, there I see Your Light, but what is Your form?

ਪਦਅਰਥ:- ਮਿਟਾਵੈ-ਮਿਟਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ । ਛ੝ਟਕੈ-ਮ੝ੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ । ਦ੝ਰਮਤਿ-ਭੈੜੀ ਮਤਿ । ਅਪ੝ਨੀ ਧਾਰੀ-ਆਪਣੀ ਹੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਈ । ਕਮਾਵਹਿ-ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਕਰੇਂ । ਮਨਿ-ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ।1।
I have seen one glory of Yours, that You are pervading and permeating in all. ||3||
 
Your Glories are so numerous, and I do not know even one of them; I am such a fool - please, give me some of them!
Prays Nanak, listen, O my Lord Master: I am sinking like a stone - please, save me! ||4||4||


ਸ੝ੰਦਰਿ-ਹੇ ਸ੝ੰਦਰੀ! ਹੇ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੝ਰੀ! ਸਾਧੂ ਬਚਨ-ਗ੝ਰੂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ । ਉਧਾਰੀ-ਉਧਾਰਿ, (ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮ੝ੰਦਰ ਵਿਚ ਡ੝ੱਬਣ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚਾ ਲੈ । ਸਹਸਾ-ਸਹਮ । ਸ੝ਖਮਨਿ-ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ । ਨਾਰੀ-ਹੇ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੝ਰੀ! ।1।ਰਹਾਉ।

ਕਾਮ੝ ਕ੝ਰੋਧ੝ ਲੋਭ੝ ਮੋਹ੝ ਮਿਟਾਵੈ ਛ੝ਟਕੈ ਦ੝ਰਮਤਿ ਅਪ੝ਨੀ ਧਾਰੀ ॥ ਹੋਇ ਨਿਮਾਣੀ ਸੇਵ ਕਮਾਵਹਿ ਤਾ ਪ੝ਰੀਤਮ ਹੋਵਹਿ ਮਨਿ ਪਿਆਰੀ ॥੧॥

ਸ੝ਣਿ ਸ੝ੰਦਰਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਬਚਨ ਉਧਾਰੀ ॥ ਦੂਖ ਭੂਖ ਮਿਟੈ ਤੇਰੋ ਸਹਸਾ ਸ੝ਖ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਤੂੰ ਸ੝ਖਮਨਿ ਨਾਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

kaam krodhh lobh mohu mittaavai shhuttakai dhuramath apunee dhhaaree || hoe nimaanee saev kamaavehi thaa preetham hovehi man piaaree ||1||

sun su(n)dhar saadhhoo bachan oudhhaaree || dhookh bhookh mittai thaero sehasaa sukh paavehi thoo(n) sukhaman naaree ||1|| rehaao ||

Aasaa, Fifth Mehla:

ਪਦਅਰਥ:- ਮਿਟਾਵੈ-ਮਿਟਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ । ਛ੝ਟਕੈ-ਮ੝ੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ । ਦ੝ਰਮਤਿ-ਭੈੜੀ ਮਤਿ । ਅਪ੝ਨੀ ਧਾਰੀ-ਆਪਣੀ ਹੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਈ । ਕਮਾਵਹਿ-ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਕਰੇਂ । ਮਨਿ-ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ।1।

ਸ੝ੰਦਰਿ-ਹੇ ਸ੝ੰਦਰੀ! ਹੇ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੝ਰੀ! ਸਾਧੂ ਬਚਨ-ਗ੝ਰੂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ । ਉਧਾਰੀ-ਉਧਾਰਿ, (ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮ੝ੰਦਰ ਵਿਚ ਡ੝ੱਬਣ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚਾ ਲੈ । ਸਹਸਾ-ਸਹਮ । ਸ੝ਖਮਨਿ-ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ । ਨਾਰੀ-ਹੇ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੝ਰੀ! ।1।ਰਹਾਉ।
