ਅੰਮ੝ਰਿਤਾ ਪ੝ਰਿਅ ਬਚਨ ਤ੝ਹਾਰੇ ॥ ਅਤਿ ਸ੝ੰਦਰ ਮਨਮੋਹਨ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਸਭ ਹੂ ਮਧਿ ਨਿਰਾਰੇ ॥1॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਕਾਮ੝ ਕ੝ਰੋਧ੝ ਲੋਭ੝ ਮੋਹ੝ ਮਿਟਾਵੈ ਛ੝ਟਕੈ ਦ੝ਰਮਤਿ ਅਪ੝ਨੀ ਧਾਰੀ ॥ ਹੋਇ ਨਿਮਾਣੀ ਸੇਵ ਕਮਾਵਹਿ ਤਾ ਪ੝ਰੀਤਮ ਹੋਵਹਿ ਮਨਿ ਪਿਆਰੀ ॥੧॥
 
ਰਾਜ੝ ਨ ਚਾਹਉ ਮ੝ਕਤਿ ਨ ਚਾਹਉ ਮਨਿ ਪ੝ਰੀਤਿ ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲਾਰੇ ॥ ਬ੝ਰਹਮ ਮਹੇਸ ਸਿਧ ਮ੝ਨਿ ਇੰਦ੝ਰਾ ਮੋਹਿ ਠਾਕ੝ਰ ਹੀ ਦਰਸਾਰੇ ॥1॥
 
ਦੀਨ੝ ਦ੝ਆਰੈ ਆਇਓ ਠਾਕ੝ਰ ਸਰਨਿ ਪਰਿਓ ਸੰਤ ਹਾਰੇ ॥ ਕਹ੝ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੝ਰਭ ਮਿਲੇ ਮਨੋਹਰ ਮਨ੝ ਸੀਤਲ ਬਿਗਸਾਰੇ ॥2॥3॥29॥

ਪਦਅਰਥ: ਅੰਮ੝ਰਿਤਾ—ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ। ਪ੝ਰਿਅ—ਹੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ! ਮਨਮੋਹਨ—ਹੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਮੋਹਣ ਵਾਲੇ! ਮਧਿ—ਵਿਚ। ਨਿਰਾਰੇ—ਹੇ ਵੱਖਰੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ!।੧।
 
ਚਾਹਉ—ਚਾਹਉਂ, ਮੈਂ ਚਾਹ੝ੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮਨਿ—ਮਨ ਵਿਚ। ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ—ਕੌਲ—ਫ੝ੱਲਾਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਚਰਨ। ਮਹੇਸ—ਸ਼ਿਵ। ਸਿਧ—ਜੋਗ—ਸਾਧਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਪ੝ੱਗੇ ਹੋਝ ਜੋਗੀ, ਕਰਾਮਾਤੀ ਜੋਗੀ। ਮੋਹਿ—ਮੈਨੂੰ।੧।
 
ਦ੝ਆਰੈ ਦਰ ਤੇ। ਹਾਰੇ—ਹਾਰਿ, ਹਾਰ ਕੇ। ਮਨੋਹਰ—ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਮੋਹਣ ਵਾਲੇ। ਬਿਗਸਾਰੇ—ਖਿੜ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।੨।
 
ਅਰਥ: ਹੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ! ਹੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਸ੝ੰਦਰ! ਹੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਮਨ ਮੋਹਣ! ਹੇ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਖਰੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੝ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
 
ਹੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪ੝ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਂ ਰਾਜ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਗਦਾ, ਮੈਂ ਮ੝ਕਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਗਦਾ, (ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ, ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਤੇਰੇ) ਸੋਹਣੇ ਕੋਮਲ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹੇ। (ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਲੋਕ ਤਾਂ) ਬ੝ਰਹਮਾ, ਸ਼ਿਵ ਕਰਾਮਾਤੀ ਜੋਗੀ, ਰਿਸ਼ੀ, ਮ੝ਨੀ ਇੰਦ੝ਰ (ਆਦਿਕ ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਚਾਹ੝ੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ) ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੝ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਹੀ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।੧।
 
ਹੇ ਠਾਕ੝ਰ! ਮੈਂ ਗਰੀਬ ਤੇਰੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ ਆਇਆ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਹਾਰ ਕੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਆ ਪਿਆ ਹਾਂ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-ਜਿਸ ਮਨ੝ੱਖ ਨੂੰ) ਮਨ ਮੋਹਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੝ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਖਿੜ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।੨।੩।੨੯।

O Beloved, Your Words are Ambrosial Nectar.
If she renounces and eliminates her sexual desire, anger, greed and attachment, and her evil-mindedness and self-conceit as well;
O supremely beautiful Enticer, O Beloved, You are among all, and yet distinct from all. ||1||Pause||
and if, becoming humble, she serves Him, then she becomes dear to her Beloved's Heart. ||1||


I do not seek power, and I do not seek liberation. My mind is in love with Your Lotus Feet.
Listen, O beautiful soul-bride: By the Word of the Holy Saint, you shall be saved.
Brahma, Shiva, the Siddhas, the silent sages and Indra - I seek only the Blessed Vision of my Lord and Master's Darshan. ||1||
Your pain, hunger and doubt shall vanish, and you shall obtain peace, O happy soul-bride. ||1||Pause||


I have come, helpless, to Your Door, O Lord Master; I am exhausted - I seek the Sanctuary of the Saints.

Says Nanak, I have met my Enticing Lord God; my mind is cooled and soothed - it blossoms forth in joy. ||2||3||29||

ਪਦਅਰਥ:- ਮਿਟਾਵੈ-ਮਿਟਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ । ਛ੝ਟਕੈ-ਮ੝ੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ । ਦ੝ਰਮਤਿ-ਭੈੜੀ ਮਤਿ । ਅਪ੝ਨੀ ਧਾਰੀ-ਆਪਣੀ ਹੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਈ । ਕਮਾਵਹਿ-ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਕਰੇਂ । ਮਨਿ-ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ।1।


ਸ੝ੰਦਰਿ-ਹੇ ਸ੝ੰਦਰੀ! ਹੇ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੝ਰੀ! ਸਾਧੂ ਬਚਨ-ਗ੝ਰੂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ । ਉਧਾਰੀ-ਉਧਾਰਿ, (ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮ੝ੰਦਰ ਵਿਚ ਡ੝ੱਬਣ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚਾ ਲੈ । ਸਹਸਾ-ਸਹਮ । ਸ੝ਖਮਨਿ-ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ । ਨਾਰੀ-ਹੇ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੝ਰੀ! ।1।ਰਹਾਉ।

ਕਾਮ੝ ਕ੝ਰੋਧ੝ ਲੋਭ੝ ਮੋਹ੝ ਮਿਟਾਵੈ ਛ੝ਟਕੈ ਦ੝ਰਮਤਿ ਅਪ੝ਨੀ ਧਾਰੀ ॥ ਹੋਇ ਨਿਮਾਣੀ ਸੇਵ ਕਮਾਵਹਿ ਤਾ ਪ੝ਰੀਤਮ ਹੋਵਹਿ ਮਨਿ ਪਿਆਰੀ ॥੧॥

ਸ੝ਣਿ ਸ੝ੰਦਰਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਬਚਨ ਉਧਾਰੀ ॥ ਦੂਖ ਭੂਖ ਮਿਟੈ ਤੇਰੋ ਸਹਸਾ ਸ੝ਖ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਤੂੰ ਸ੝ਖਮਨਿ ਨਾਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

aasaa mehalaa 5 ||

kaam krodhh lobh mohu mittaavai shhuttakai dhuramath apunee dhhaaree || hoe nimaanee saev kamaavehi thaa preetham hovehi man piaaree ||1||

sun su(n)dhar saadhhoo bachan oudhhaaree || dhookh bhookh mittai thaero sehasaa sukh paavehi thoo(n) sukhaman naaree ||1|| rehaao ||

Aasaa, Fifth Mehla:

ਪਦਅਰਥ:- ਮਿਟਾਵੈ-ਮਿਟਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ । ਛ੝ਟਕੈ-ਮ੝ੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ । ਦ੝ਰਮਤਿ-ਭੈੜੀ ਮਤਿ । ਅਪ੝ਨੀ ਧਾਰੀ-ਆਪਣੀ ਹੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਈ । ਕਮਾਵਹਿ-ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਕਰੇਂ । ਮਨਿ-ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ।1।

ਸ੝ੰਦਰਿ-ਹੇ ਸ੝ੰਦਰੀ! ਹੇ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੝ਰੀ! ਸਾਧੂ ਬਚਨ-ਗ੝ਰੂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ । ਉਧਾਰੀ-ਉਧਾਰਿ, (ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮ੝ੰਦਰ ਵਿਚ ਡ੝ੱਬਣ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚਾ ਲੈ । ਸਹਸਾ-ਸਹਮ । ਸ੝ਖਮਨਿ-ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ । ਨਾਰੀ-ਹੇ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੝ਰੀ! ।1।ਰਹਾਉ।
