ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦੀਓ ਮੋਹਿ ਨਾਮਾ ਬੰਧਨ ਤੇ ਛ੝ਟਕਾਝ ॥ ਮਨ ਤੇ ਬਿਸਰਿਓ ਸਗਲੋ ਧੰਧਾ ਗ੝ਰ ਕੀ ਚਰਣੀ ਲਾਝ ॥1॥
ਕਾਮ੝ ਕ੝ਰੋਧ੝ ਲੋਭ੝ ਮੋਹ੝ ਮਿਟਾਵੈ ਛ੝ਟਕੈ ਦ੝ਰਮਤਿ ਅਪ੝ਨੀ ਧਾਰੀ ॥ ਹੋਇ ਨਿਮਾਣੀ ਸੇਵ ਕਮਾਵਹਿ ਤਾ ਪ੝ਰੀਤਮ ਹੋਵਹਿ ਮਨਿ ਪਿਆਰੀ ॥੧॥

ਨਾ ਕੋ ਮੇਰਾ ਦ੝ਸਮਨ੝ ਰਹਿਆ ਨ ਹਮ ਕਿਸ ਕੇ ਬੈਰਾਈ ॥ ਬ੝ਰਹਮ੝ ਪਸਾਰ੝ ਪਸਾਰਿਓ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਸਤਿਗ੝ਰ ਤੇ ਸੋਝੀ ਪਾਈ ॥2॥
 
ਸਭ੝ ਕੋ ਮੀਤ੝ ਹਮ ਆਪਨ ਕੀਨਾ ਹਮ ਸਭਨਾ ਕੇ ਸਾਜਨ ॥ ਦੂਰਿ ਪਰਾਇਓ ਮਨ ਕਾ ਬਿਰਹਾ ਤਾ ਮੇਲ੝ ਕੀਓ ਮੇਰੈ ਰਾਜਨ ॥3॥
 
ਬਿਨਸਿਓ ਢੀਠਾ ਅੰਮ੝ਰਿਤ੝ ਵੂਠਾ ਸਬਦ੝ ਲਗੋ ਗ੝ਰ ਮੀਠਾ ॥ ਜਲਿ ਥਲਿ ਮਹੀਅਲਿ ਸਰਬ ਨਿਵਾਸੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਰਮਈਆ ਡੀਠਾ ॥4॥3॥

ਸੰਗਿ—ਸੰਗ ਵਿਚ। ਚਿੰਤ—ਆਸ। ਬਿਰਾਨੀ—ਬਿਗਾਨੀ, ਓਪਰੀ। ਅਹੰਬ੝ਧਿ—ਹਉਮੈ ਵਾਲੀ ਅਕਲ। ਬਾਸਨ—ਵਾਸਨਾ। ਦੇ ਕਰਿ—ਦੇ ਕੇ, ਪ੝ੱਟ ਕੇ। ਗਡਹਾ—ਟੋਆ। ਗਾਡੀ—ਨੱਪ ਦਿੱਤੀ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
 
ਕਿਸ ਕੇ—ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇ। ਬੈਰਾਈ—ਵੈਰੀ। ਪਸਾਰ੝—ਖਿਲਾਰਾ। ਭੀਤਰਿ—(ਹਰੇਕ ਦੇ) ਅੰਦਰ। ਤੇ—ਤੋਂ।੨।
 
ਸਭ੝ ਕੋ—ਹਰੇਕ ਪ੝ਰਾਣੀ। ਹਮ—ਅਸਾਂ, ਮੈਂ। ਪਰਾਇਓ—ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ। ਬਿਰਹਾ—(ਪ੝ਰਭੂ ਤੋਂ) ਵਿਛੋੜਾ। ਤਾ—ਤਦੋਂ। ਮੇਲ੝—ਮਿਲਾਪ। ਮੇਰੈ ਰਾਜਨ—ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੝ਰਭੂ—ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ।੩।
 
ਢੀਠਾ—ਢੀਠ—ਪ੝ਣਾ। ਅੰਮ੝ਰਿਤ੝—ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾਮ—ਜਲ। ਵੂਠਾ—ਆ ਵੱਸਿਆ। ਸਬਦ੝ ਗ੝ਰ—ਗ੝ਰੂ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ। ਜਲਿ—ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿਚ। ਥਲਿ—ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿਚ। ਮਹੀਅਲਿ—ਮਹੀ ਤਲਿ, ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਤਲੇ ਉਪਰ, ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿਚ, ਪ੝ਲਾੜ ਵਿਚ। ਰਮਈਆ—ਸੋਹਣਾ ਰਾਮ।੪।
 
ਅਰਥ: ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਪਰਾਈ ਆਸ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਹਉਮੈ, ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ, ਮਨ ਦੀ ਵਾਸਨਾ-ਇਹਨਾਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਟੋਆ ਪ੝ੱਟ ਕੇ ਨੱਪ ਦਿੱਤਾ (ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਦੱਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ)।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
 
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਨੇ) ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਤੇ ਗ੝ਰੂ ਦੀ ਚਰਨੀਂ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਬੰਧਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਛ੝ਡਾ ਲਿਆ (ਜਿਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਮੇਰੇ) ਮਨ ਤੋਂ ਸਾਰਾ ਝਗੜਾ-ਝੰਬੇਲਾ ਲਹਿ ਗਿਆ।੧।
 
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਮੇਰਾ ਕੋਈ ਦ੝ਸ਼ਮਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿ ਗਿਆ (ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਵੈਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ), ਮੈਂ ਭੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਦਾ ਵੈਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣਦਾ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਗ੝ਰੂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਇਹ ਸਮਝ ਪ੝ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਜਗਤ-ਖਿਲਾਰਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਹੈ, (ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦੇ) ਅੰਦਰ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ) ਖਿਲਾਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।੨।
 
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਹਰੇਕ ਪ੝ਰਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਭੀ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਿੱਤਰ-ਸੱਜਣ ਹੀ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਦਾ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ) ਵਿਛੋੜਾ (ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ) ਕਿਤੇ ਦੂਰ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਲਈ, ਤਦੋਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੝ਰਭੂ-ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ (ਆਪਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦਾ) ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।੩।
 
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਦਾ) ਢੀਠ-ਪ੝ਣਾ ਮ੝ੱਕ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਲ ਆ ਵੱਸਿਆ ਹੈ, ਗ੝ਰੂ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਹ੝ਣ ਮੈਂ ਜਲ ਵਿਚ, ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿਚ, ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿਚ, ਸਭ ਥਾਂ ਵੱਸਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।੪।੩।

Granting His Grace, God has blessed me with His Name, and released me of my bonds.
If she renounces and eliminates her sexual desire, anger, greed and attachment, and her evil-mindedness and self-conceit as well;
I have forgotten all worldly entanglements, and I am attached to the Guru's feet. ||1||
and if, becoming humble, she serves Him, then she becomes dear to her Beloved's Heart. ||1||


In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, I have renounced my other cares and anxieties.
Listen, O beautiful soul-bride: By the Word of the Holy Saint, you shall be saved.
I dug a deep pit, and buried my egotistical pride, emotional attachment and the desires of my mind. ||1||Pause||
Your pain, hunger and doubt shall vanish, and you shall obtain peace, O happy soul-bride. ||1||Pause||


No one is my enemy, and I am no one's enemy.

God, who expanded His expanse, is within all; I learned this from the True Guru. ||2||

ਪਦਅਰਥ:- ਮਿਟਾਵੈ-ਮਿਟਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ । ਛ੝ਟਕੈ-ਮ੝ੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ । ਦ੝ਰਮਤਿ-ਭੈੜੀ ਮਤਿ । ਅਪ੝ਨੀ ਧਾਰੀ-ਆਪਣੀ ਹੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਈ । ਕਮਾਵਹਿ-ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਕਰੇਂ । ਮਨਿ-ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ।1।
When the sense of separation was removed from my mind, then I was united with the Lord, my King. ||3||
 
My stubbornness is gone, Ambrosial Nectar rains down, and the Word of the Guru's Shabad seems so sweet to me.
He is pervading everywhere, in the water, on the land and in the sky; Nanak beholds the all-pervading Lord. ||4||3||


ਸ੝ੰਦਰਿ-ਹੇ ਸ੝ੰਦਰੀ! ਹੇ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੝ਰੀ! ਸਾਧੂ ਬਚਨ-ਗ੝ਰੂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ । ਉਧਾਰੀ-ਉਧਾਰਿ, (ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮ੝ੰਦਰ ਵਿਚ ਡ੝ੱਬਣ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚਾ ਲੈ । ਸਹਸਾ-ਸਹਮ । ਸ੝ਖਮਨਿ-ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ । ਨਾਰੀ-ਹੇ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੝ਰੀ! ।1।ਰਹਾਉ।

ਕਾਮ੝ ਕ੝ਰੋਧ੝ ਲੋਭ੝ ਮੋਹ੝ ਮਿਟਾਵੈ ਛ੝ਟਕੈ ਦ੝ਰਮਤਿ ਅਪ੝ਨੀ ਧਾਰੀ ॥ ਹੋਇ ਨਿਮਾਣੀ ਸੇਵ ਕਮਾਵਹਿ ਤਾ ਪ੝ਰੀਤਮ ਹੋਵਹਿ ਮਨਿ ਪਿਆਰੀ ॥੧॥

ਸ੝ਣਿ ਸ੝ੰਦਰਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਬਚਨ ਉਧਾਰੀ ॥ ਦੂਖ ਭੂਖ ਮਿਟੈ ਤੇਰੋ ਸਹਸਾ ਸ੝ਖ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਤੂੰ ਸ੝ਖਮਨਿ ਨਾਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

kaam krodhh lobh mohu mittaavai shhuttakai dhuramath apunee dhhaaree || hoe nimaanee saev kamaavehi thaa preetham hovehi man piaaree ||1||

sun su(n)dhar saadhhoo bachan oudhhaaree || dhookh bhookh mittai thaero sehasaa sukh paavehi thoo(n) sukhaman naaree ||1|| rehaao ||

Aasaa, Fifth Mehla:

ਪਦਅਰਥ:- ਮਿਟਾਵੈ-ਮਿਟਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ । ਛ੝ਟਕੈ-ਮ੝ੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ । ਦ੝ਰਮਤਿ-ਭੈੜੀ ਮਤਿ । ਅਪ੝ਨੀ ਧਾਰੀ-ਆਪਣੀ ਹੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਈ । ਕਮਾਵਹਿ-ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਕਰੇਂ । ਮਨਿ-ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ।1।

ਸ੝ੰਦਰਿ-ਹੇ ਸ੝ੰਦਰੀ! ਹੇ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੝ਰੀ! ਸਾਧੂ ਬਚਨ-ਗ੝ਰੂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ । ਉਧਾਰੀ-ਉਧਾਰਿ, (ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮ੝ੰਦਰ ਵਿਚ ਡ੝ੱਬਣ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚਾ ਲੈ । ਸਹਸਾ-ਸਹਮ । ਸ੝ਖਮਨਿ-ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ । ਨਾਰੀ-ਹੇ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੝ਰੀ! ।1।ਰਹਾਉ।
