ਕਾਮ੝ ਕ੝ਰੋਧ੝ ਲੋਭ੝ ਮੋਹ੝ ਮਿਟਾਵੈ ਛ੝ਟਕੈ ਦ੝ਰਮਤਿ ਅਪ੝ਨੀ ਧਾਰੀ ॥ ਹੋਇ ਨਿਮਾਣੀ ਸੇਵ ਕਮਾਵਹਿ ਤਾ ਪ੝ਰੀਤਮ ਹੋਵਹਿ ਮਨਿ ਪਿਆਰੀ ॥੧॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ :-ਬੈਕ੝ੰਠ-ਵਿਸ਼ਨੂ ਦਾ ਸ੝ਵਰਗ । ਰਿਦ-ਹਿਰਦਾ ।1।
kaam krodhh lobh mohu mittaavai shhuttakai dhuramath apunee dhhaaree ||
 
hoe nimaanee saev kamaavehi thaa preetham hovehi man piaaree ||1||
ਦਿਖਲਾਵਉ-ਦਿਖਲਾਵਉਂ, ਮੈਂ ਵਿਖਾਵਾਂ । ਬਿੰਜਨ-ਸ੝ਆਦਲੇ ਭੋਜਨ । ਭ੝ੰਚਾਵਉ-ਭ੝ੰਚਾਵਉਂ, ਮੈਂ ਖਿਲਾਵਾਂ ।1।ਰਹਾਉ।
 
ਅੰਮ੝ਰਿਤ-ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ । ਭ੝ੰਚ੝-ਖਾਹ । ਸ੝ਦ-ਸ੝ਆਦ ।2।


ਤਾਕੀ-ਤੱਕੀ । ਬ੝ਝਿ ਥਾਕੀ-ਮਿਟ ਕੇ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ।3।

Aasaa, Fifth Mehla:


ਅਰਥ :-ਹੇ ਭਾਈ ! (ਮੇਰੀ ਗੱਲ) ਸ੝ਣ, (ਆ,) ਮੈਂ (ਤੇਰੇ) ਮਨ ਨੂੰ (ਤੇਰੇ) ਤਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਵਿਖਾ ਦਿਆਂ । ਪ੝ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ (ਮਾਨੋ) ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਸ੝ਆਦਲੇ ਭੋਜਨ ਹੈ, (ਆ, ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ) ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਸ੝ਆਦਲੇ ਭੋਜ ਖਵਾਵਾਂ ।1।ਰਹਾਉ।
If she renounces and eliminates her sexual desire, anger, greed and attachment, and her evil-mindedness and self-conceit as well;
 
and if, becoming humble, she serves Him, then she becomes dear to her Beloved's Heart. ||1||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ ! ਜਿਸ ਥਾਂ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ) ਸੰਤ ਜਨ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਹੋਣ, ਉਹੀ ਹੈ (ਅਸਲ) ਬੈਕ੝ੰਠ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਹਰ । (ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ) ਪ੝ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਚਰਨ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ ।1।
 
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ ! (ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ) ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ (-ਭੋਜਨ) ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਖਾਇਆ ਕਰ, ਇਸ ਭੋਜਨ ਦੇ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਸ੝ਆਦ ਹਨ, ਬਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੇ ।2।
 
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ ! ਜਿਨ੝ਹਾਂ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਨੇ (ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ-ਬੈਕ੝ੰਠ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਕੇ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਤੱਕ ਲਿਆ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਲੋਭ ਮ੝ੱਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤ੝ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਬ੝ੱਝ ਕੇ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ।3।
 
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ ! (ਆਖ-ਹੇ ਭਾਈ !) ਪ੝ਰਭੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਾਸਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਜਨਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਡਰ ਮੋਹ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।4।21।27।

ਪਦਅਰਥ:- ਮਿਟਾਵੈ-ਮਿਟਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ । ਛ੝ਟਕੈ-ਮ੝ੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ । ਦ੝ਰਮਤਿ-ਭੈੜੀ ਮਤਿ । ਅਪ੝ਨੀ ਧਾਰੀ-ਆਪਣੀ ਹੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਈ । ਕਮਾਵਹਿ-ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਕਰੇਂ । ਮਨਿ-ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ।1।
Soohee, Fifth Mehla:
 
The city of heaven is where the Saints dwell.
They enshrine the Lotus Feet of God within their hearts. ||1||
 
Listen, O my mind and body, and let me show you the way to find peace,
so that you may eat and enjoy the various delicacies of the Lord||1||Pause||
 
Taste the Ambrosial Nectar of the Naam, the Name of the Lord, within your mind.
Its taste is wondrous - it cannot be described. ||2||
 
Your greed shall die, and your thirst shall be quenched.
The humble beings seek the Sanctuary of the Supreme Lord God. ||3||


The Lord dispels the fears and attachments of countless incarnations.
ਸ੝ੰਦਰਿ-ਹੇ ਸ੝ੰਦਰੀ! ਹੇ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੝ਰੀ! ਸਾਧੂ ਬਚਨ-ਗ੝ਰੂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ । ਉਧਾਰੀ-ਉਧਾਰਿ, (ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮ੝ੰਦਰ ਵਿਚ ਡ੝ੱਬਣ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚਾ ਲੈ । ਸਹਸਾ-ਸਹਮ । ਸ੝ਖਮਨਿ-ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ । ਨਾਰੀ-ਹੇ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੝ਰੀ! ।1।ਰਹਾਉ।
God has showered His Mercy and Grace upon slave Nanak. ||4||21||27||

ਪਦਅਰਥ:- ਮਿਟਾਵੈ-ਮਿਟਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ । ਛ੝ਟਕੈ-ਮ੝ੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ । ਦ੝ਰਮਤਿ-ਭੈੜੀ ਮਤਿ । ਅਪ੝ਨੀ ਧਾਰੀ-ਆਪਣੀ ਹੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਈ । ਕਮਾਵਹਿ-ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਕਰੇਂ । ਮਨਿ-ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ।1।
