World Sikh News is essentially a US-based weekly newspaper focusing on issues and concerns of the Sikh community and gauging global happenings from the Sikh point of view. Earlier published under the name of Amritsar Times, the paper is the only Sikh weekly published from North America with a print run of 5,000 copies and increasing besides presence on the web.

Among the key people who are the prime force behind the newspaper is Daljit Singh, 53, known for his perceptive writing for years in the Punjabi Tribune, Punjab's leading vernacular newspaper and now settled on the West Coast. His analyses of the emerging situation in the Sikh community are free from dogma but wedded to principles.

Ajmer Singh, 50, Resident Editor of the weekly newspaper, is a well-known scholar of Sikhism and a celebrated author known for his seminal work on 20th century Sikh history. He splits his time between the US and India.

Gurjit Singh, 23, is a student of San Jose State University, is active in various Sikh youth organizations. He is a votary of combining the search for the roots with a forward-looking approach.

Jasjeet Singh, 42, is on the board of directors of the World Sikh News, provides the policy impetus and serves as an overall guiding force. He sees WSN as a part of efforts to ensure that the Sikhs' view point comes closer to the Sikh point of view.

Harpal Singh Mann, 35, is Kenyan born and Sikh with Masters degree front USC and contributes to the articles related to young generation.

Harjot Singh Khalsa, 40 is very much involved with the Sikh Community in Bay area for the last 18 years. He is a professional with Master of Science and Master of Philosophy with distinction from Punjab University Chandigarh,India. He is a Insurance and Real Estate Broker in California for the last 15 years and contributes articles with financial matters.

Satnam Singh Khalsa, 41 is well know poet in the Punjabi community of India and Pakistan. He has a lot of input on the local news.
