Bhagat(Pa: ਭਗਤ) means Devotee.
In Gurmat, Bhagat is the soul who is devotee of Supreme Command (Hukam), thus spiritually united with Supreme. The souls who turn Bhagats remain in state of internal bliss, also called Param-Anand, as their attention(Surt) remain absorb in Supreme Command(Shabad or Hukam). Only a Bhagat have capability to realize and speak Pakki Bani. The ideology of Bhagat is called Gurmat.
All authors of Guru Granth Sahib are Bhagats.
