Foundation stone of Harmandar Sahib
Dear Khalsa ji,
I am sorry that I have had to revert the recent changes made to the articles - Harmandar Sahib and Amritsar as you dramatically changed the basis of the article without any discussion on the relevant talk pages associated with these articles. This is in violation of the rules that need to be observed in a wiki system. Please kindly do not make such major change to any articles without first discussing the change so that other can contribute by either agreeing or opposing the proposed change. Foundation Stone of Harmandar Sahib
Dear jsu ji
Many thanks for your message. By changing just the name of the person who laid the foundation stone you could make a dramatic change to the article - such changes must be discussed before they are carried out.
I did read the reference but that does not mean that it makes the change acceptable - Any major change of that nature needs to have been discussed so that others can either agree to oppose such a change.
Please see the page at SGPC which mentions that: Guru Arjan Sahib completed the work on two sacred tanks (Sarowars) Santokhsar and Amritsar. He got the foundation stone of Harmandir Sahib, laid by a Muslim Saint Hazrat Mian Mir Ji of Lahore on 1st Magh, Vikrami Samvat 1644 (December 1588). After the completion of Sri Harmandir Sahib, Guru Sahib completed the construction of Santhokhsar.
