No - Only when one has taken amrit or is about to take amrit should the [[Kirpan]] be worn. There are certain modes of conduct associated with the [[5Ks]] and so you must understand these before adorning the [[five articles of faith]]. However, if you believe in our [[10 Gurus]] and [[Guru Granth Sahib]], you can begin wearing some of the other 4 of the [[5Ks]] (excluding the [[Kirpan]]). Please make sure you understand very clearly the [[Hukam]] (command) of our tenth master as given in the [[Zafarnama]] - Never ever to use the [[Kirpan]] as a weapon of attack; or as a first/immediate reaction; in anger; etc, etc. All this will be explained by the [[Panj Pyare]] when you take amrit. das, 02:37, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

No - Only when one has taken amrit or is about to take amrit should the Kirpan be worn. There are certain modes of conduct associated with the 5Ks and so you must understand these before adorning the five articles of faith. However, if you believe in our 10 Gurus and Guru Granth Sahib, you can begin wearing some of the other 4 of the 5Ks (excluding the Kirpan). Please make sure you understand very clearly the Hukam (command) of our tenth master as given in the Zafarnama - Never ever to use the Kirpan as a weapon of attack; or as a first/immediate reaction; in anger; etc, etc. All this will be explained by the Panj Pyare when you take amrit. das, 02:37, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
