Only (making up a charge) such as I saw him crumble a line from the Qur'an got the Christians burned to death. The Muslim was killed because someone who had a grudge, said he saw him crumple a page of a calendar that had lines from the Qur'an.

There are Many - Many lines in Guru Granth Sahib itself which used bed scenes(describing husband wife relation) and other terms like prostitution etc, which are totally ignored by these people.

Looking for the source (your link) it seems that the text is from a speech an artist gave at the 'Burning man' event. His speech seems to be taken from the book - ''Life, the Universe and Everything'' - the third book in the five-volume ''Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy'' science fiction series by British writer Douglas Adams who wrote the original story as an episode for the Dr. Who television series. Entitled (Doctor Who and the Krikketmen) it was to be a six-part story, however it was rejected by the BBC. (wikipedia facts)

| Are you familiar with the burning man event (http://www.burningman.com/whatisburningman/) where after many wild nights a giant effigy of a man is burnt. It comes at a different time than the Lohri event of India. I never remember seeing a large bonfire here in the US. Other than the burning man event, the Texas A&M University has (had?) the only other large bonfire I know of. Many students died in the 1999 event, see (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aggie_Bonfire). Here in Georgia it is common to build a large fire with wood stacked horizontally - we watched ''My Name is Khan'' tonight and I was surprised to see a bonfire supposedly set in imaginary city of Wilhelmina, GA. I said to my wife - people just don't stand wood up that way - too dangerous - it must have been filmed in Mumbai! I have never seen how wood is stacked in the funerals of Sikhs and Hindus. We watched the services for the Mumbai victims, but they did not film the cremation (out of respect I suppose.)

| We enjoyed the movie - good story on the stupidity of profiling people irrationally and the suffering of Western Asians after 9/11. We had the usual tears, from the wholesomeness of the values of Indian culture, values that we remember from our childhood, so prevalent in most Bollywood flicks. However they slighted Georgia and Georgians, one example (one of many) - they used the California state capital building (flying the CA flag/ with a bear) saying it was the Ga state capital bldg., never mind the GA state capital has a gold covered dome. to top that off, while the film gave credit to LA and San Francisco for their cooperation - they forgot to mention Sacramento and the Calf capital bldg. in their credits. I can bet that some feelings got hurt over that one. Several Sikhs were in the final crowd scene as extras, there is a Gurdwara in the city and Yuba city is only about 10 miles beyond my wife's hometown (30-40 mi from Sac.)

| We figured that few folks outside the Desi community would see the film anyway , the tea party folks would probably use the film to support their efforts to prove Pres. Obama is a Muslim.

| I met my wife in San Francisco, her hometown is 15 miles from Sacramento, film has many scenes of the sites of San Francisco and Mr. Khan did a remarkable, well studied job of portraying someone with Asperger's syndrome and we have a soft spot in our hearts for Kajol.
