Ugardanti(PA: ਉਗਰਦੰਤੀ) is a composition which is present only in Dasam Granth Bir Patna Sahib and it's composer is unknown. There are 6 Chandds of this bani.
History
- In Bansavalinama, written in 1769 CE, author, Kesar Singh Chibbar, explains and quotes a few passages from the rare composition Ugardanti, which was written by Guru Gobind Singh Ji. [1]
- The ‘Ugardanti Bani’ is part of Akali Nihang and Namdhari daily liturgy.
- Acc. to Nihung Tradition, This bani was given by Guru Gobind Singh to weak person, so that they able to fight war against tyranny.
Mangal
Manglacharan is starting of Bani. The Bani started with:
ੴ ਵਾਹਿਗਰੂ ਜੀ ਕੀ ਫਤਹਿ ॥
ੴ वाहिगढ़रू जी की फतहि ॥
The Lord is one and the Victory is of the Lord.
ਸਰੀ ਭਗਉਤੀ ਜੀ ਸਹਾਇ ॥
सढ़री भगउती जी सहाइ ॥
