Ten Incarnations

Ten Incarnations or Ten Avtars(ਦਸ ਅਵਤਾਰਾ) were the pious souls which were sent by God himself, to the world to destroy Manmat. The Fact is accepted by Gurbani that 10 Avtars were send to earth by god. Gurbani rejects philosphy that those ten were avtars of Vishnu(ਸ੝ੰਨਹ੝ ਉਪਜੇ ਦਸ ਅਵਤਾਰਾ ॥), but they were born on Command of God itself. This is cleared with the lines:

ਬ੝ਰਹਮਾ  ਬਿਸਨ੝  ਮਹੇਸ੝  ਦੇਵ  ਉਪਾਇਆ  ॥
Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva and the deities were created.

ਬ੝ਰਹਮੇ ਦਿਤੇ ਬੇਦ ਪੂਜਾ ਲਾਇਆ ॥
Brahma was given the Vedas, and enjoined to worship God.

ਦਸ ਅਵਤਾਰੀ ਰਾਮ੝ ਰਾਜਾ ਆਇਆ ॥
The ten incarnations, and Rama the king, came into being.

ਦੈਤਾ ਮਾਰੇ ਧਾਇ ਹ੝ਕਮਿ ਸਬਾਇਆ ॥
According to His Will, they quickly killed all the demons. 

Acc. to Hinduism, Avtar is due to Body, then come in power. Rishi Munis give Degree of Avtar during their time. But Gurmat Denies this. Gurmat only believe that Avtar is one who fight war for truth and who put their whole power and whole money to bring truth above.

Gurbani have 10 Avtar and 14 more in hinduism were Sifarshi, Approached one ,not recognized by Gurbani.

Gurbani denies the 24 Incarnations or 24 persons send by god and also denies that These Incarnations belong to Vishnu. Gurbani also said that ""ਕੋਟਿ ਬਿਸਨ ਕੀਨੇ ਅਵਤਾਰ ॥"" Many millions of Vishnu and their incarnations existed still Gurbani accepted that God send these 10 Avtars, not 24, who fought for truth.

• Hindus preach that these ten incarnations were send by Vishnu which is totally wrong acc. to Guru Granth Sahib.
• The concept where Hindus says that there are 24 Avtars send by God. It's too wrong
• Explanation of Prof. Sahib Singh Teeka: ਪ੝ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਿਰੋਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪੇ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ (ਵਿਸ਼ਨੂ ਦੇ) ਦਸ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਝ।| which should be that God's himself send these Avtars to earth rather then Avtar of Vishnu.

The purpose of 10 Avtars were to destroy Evil or Manmukhta, but they were not able to find Truth of God.

Dasam Granth

There is bani called 24 Avtars in Dasam Granth in which Guru Gobind Singh told about 24 Avtars including these 10 incarnations. Guru Gobind SIngh wrote his own version of Chaubis Avtar, and also commented at end that he do not believe in any of them. These are ""sodhey simrit shashtra sagal"".
