Contamination in Other Religions-a different version
Removed Controversial Content.
In Ugardanti, it is stated that some of the older religions may have become "contaminated due to the long passage of time and the non-availability of technology to faithfully preserve the original text. Also, the average follower has become disconnected with the original text of the holy scriptures.<!----Hinduism and Islam are adulterated and contaminated religions.--->. This fact was said before in Guru Granth Sahib by Bhagat Namdev when Gurbani says: "The Hindu is sightless; the Muslim (Turk) has only one eye." and quotations by other gurus too.

These religions have become ingrained in materialistic values and moved away from spirituality. As these older religions were not able to satisfy spiritual needs and the people were going away from the true path of their faith, that is why the Guru created the Khalsa Panth. The purpose of the Khalsa is to spiritually, mentally and physically contemplate on the Hukam of God. This bani is directly saying Khalsa is a separate panth (path), which is different from the way the adherents of Hinduism and Islam were treading at that time.

However, it should be noted that in Gurbani we also find instructions for both Muslims and Hindus on how to amend their ways and become "proper" Muslims and Hindus by following the code endowed by the Lord.

For example, for the Muslim, the Guru says:

Original Text of Guru Granth Sahib is also missing, even original bir is missing. Oldest birs have so many differences which are still not sort out by akal takhat. Many Banis were ommitted from old birs. If you will start discussing on this side. Then nothing will come out of it.

No worry i will write diplomatically. (Avtarsinghdelhi 18:55, 27 October 2010 (EDT))
