Perhaps, if they are not already on you Tube, you and some friend/s could do a series of small videos showing how each is tied, I for one would much rather wear a turban when I visit a Gurdwara, than the small triangle of cloth always at hand. | Perhaps, if they are not already on you Tube, you and some friend/s could do a series of small videos showing how each is tied, I for one would much rather wear a turban when I visit a Gurdwara, than the small triangle of cloth always at hand. | ||
As an artist, when painting I have often tied a personel version, to keep paint off my hair, in the 60/70s when I kept my hair long it helped a lot. The only problem was my turbans kept falling apart. I lacked the proper length of cloth or didn't know how to tie it correctly. Why not share several hundred years of experience with the world. Sorry Sunnyji, I have been checking and changing typos, got here saw your note, as Sikhs are still 'going', changed tense//also the word -try-bothers me , as it includes the possibility of failure-Well at least I tried. Please just revert if if my changes are a problem.
Personally I think it would be better to include a statement - This is a series of articles by Sunny Singh Doad-(check with Hari ji on that, please), and would be better than adding your name at the bottom of a picture. It seems that one's users page is the place for people getting to know who we are.
Hopefully it would be good to explain through illustations or a series of photos how teach style is tied; for instance in the Parna one out of focus photo (left, my view) has a tail, where your portrait shows none.
Perhaps, if they are not already on you Tube, you and some friend/s could do a series of small videos showing how each is tied, I for one would much rather wear a turban when I visit a Gurdwara, than the small triangle of cloth always at hand.
