Thanks for the story. The murti obviously serves as a visual key to keep the oral tradition alive of a Holy man of God who had enriched their lives. In northern Calf. I was surprised to find beautiful sang marmar murtis of Gurus Nanak and Gobind Singh in a Hindu Mandir lined up with those of the Hindu pantheon many of whom were good and righteous men who had once walked the earth.
