== In Europe ==
== Sachan Sach ==

in the late 1400s-to early 1500s the catholic church of Europe was all powerful / men could not speak directly to God they had to have a priest to intercede or speak/pray for them. access to the Bible was limited to priests only and of course all scholars were themselves priests. Two things happened:
the man went around saying Sachan Sach. what does Sachan Sach mean in Panjabi
:1. Martin Luther, risking certain death started the Protestant reformation. He railed against the corruption of the priests who were pretty much carrying on as did the mahants of India in the late 1800s and early 1900s.
:2. King Henry the 8th refused a divorce by the Pope, with no male heirs broke all ties with the Catholic church. He started his own church, executed many wifes and finally a female his daughter, won the right, after many intrigues, to rule as queen. Of course you probably know of all this.

What is remarkable is that Guru Nanak's and Martin Luther's time on earth (life spans) differed by only 15 or so years. And both men were attempting to reform the corrupt practises of their own religions. Of course Guru Nanak Dev had the increased problem of dealing with a second tyranical religion—Islam, which had grown from the same root religion via<——Judeo <—Zoroastrian <— Hindu, only to return to India to play havoc with its early ancestor. This, the travel of religion and language around the world is the book i hope to one day write, Gods willing / InShahallah /or___________don't know the Panjabi or Gurmuki saying here. If anyone would add i would appreciate it[[User:Allenwalla|Allenwalla]] 13:45, 14 November 2007 (MST)
why is there a second list of different names which follows the story of the women piris, but is comprised of only male names?

Except for Goa, Surat and a few eastern cities and their surrounding areas Catholicism played no major part early in India because by the time Britain intruded into the affairs of India they were doing their best to wipe out the Catholics of europe themselves.

What is interesting to me here is that the catholic curch was divided into "chairs" or bishophoods under the Pope. By the time of Luther the Popes had become as corrupt as Deep Chand, if not more corrupt.

The word Cathedral, the Grand Gurdwaras of Europe, comes from the sansrrit 'Cath' for wood/ meaning in latin the chair, or place (Takat) or grand chair of the Bishop.

In old stories of Jesus the child was placed in a manger or manji(r) (defined as a feeding trought(spelling) for animals) which looks like a small crib. Which stories tell of Jesus' humble birth, though priests of Mani had traveled from persia to honor the child.

Dictionary definition, O.E. = Old English
O.E. cribbe "manger, fodder bin in cowsheds / from O.Fr. mangeure (Fr. mangeoire), from mangier "to eat"

Sort of like a chair or cot where men came to sit at the feet of their teacher, priest or Guru to digest a 'meal' of religious teachings. A shame that the Langar idea did not become a universal idea at western houses of religion. Or as has been said, "Man cannot live on bread alone."
