Does the classification as backward mean they can't figure out how to use a cell phone. i.e. uneducated or not caring for modern ways? If Jinnah or Jawaharlal were alive today i would guess that they would have a 'jawbone' wireless transmitter hanging on their ear. i am sure Bin Laden would as well, if he would not be easily targeted by the device. Yet most of the Muslims under the Mughal and British Raj looked down on modern education giving Hindus a big atvantage. Many Sikhs argued for modern education w/ some arguing for only Gurmukhi schools.
