I don' t know who wrote in the local peoples tale of Bhrama telling that Guru Nanak the saviour of the universe in his future reincarnation as Guru Gobind Singh will save the universe. But the tale matches the Christian claims of Jesus being the saviour and the Shias belief in the Imam in seclusion who will return one day as the Mahdi to save the universe from evil.

We like the place was called lokpal (world saver) to Universe savior, similar to those who styled themselves Jahangir and his more resplendid son Alamgir I. As neither Guru would have tolerated such a title as only God would possibly be capable of destroying or saving either the world or universe seems like questionable title to lay on either Guru.
