All gurdwaras in Jammu and Kashmir are managed by the State Sikh Gurdwaras Parbandhak Board, Jammu and Kashmir through respective District Parbandhark Committees constituted under the Jammu and Kashmir Sikh Gurdwaras and Religious Endowment Act, 1973 (Act XV of 1973). District Parbandhak Committees are elected by a polling process by the respective Deputy Commissioners. The present president is S. Tarlochan Singh Wazir, who is also the MLC Of National Conference and President of Transporters union of Jammu and Kashmir .
