ਸੋਰਠੇ ॥ Sorat'h
ਗਰ ਅਰਜਨ ਪਰਖ ਪਰਮਾਣ ਪਾਰਥਉ ਚਾਲੈ ਨਹੀ ॥ Guru Arjun is the certified Primal Person; like Arjuna, He never leaves the field of battle.
ਨੇਜਾ ਨਾਮ ਨੀਸਾਣ ਸਤਿਗਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਵਾਰਿਅਉ ॥੧॥ The Naam, the Name of the Lord, is His spear and insignia. He is embellished with the Shabad, the Word of the True Guru. ||1||
ਭਵਜਲ ਸਾਇਰ ਸੇਤ ਨਾਮ ਹਰੀ ਕਾ ਬੋਹਿਥਾ ॥ The Lord's Name is the Boat, the Bridge to cross over the terrifying world-ocean.
ਤਅ ਸਤਿਗਰ ਸੰ ਹੇਤ ਨਾਮਿ ਲਾਗਿ ਜਗ ਉਧਰਯਯਉ ॥੨॥ You are in love with the True Guru; attached to the Naam, You have saved the world. ||2||
ਜਗਤ ਉਧਾਰਣ ਨਾਮ ਸਤਿਗਰ ਤਠੈ ਪਾਇਅਉ ॥ The Naam is the Saving Grace of the world; by the Pleasure of the True Guru, it is obtained.
ਅਬ ਨਾਹਿ ਅਵਰ ਸਰਿ ਕਾਮ ਬਾਰੰਤਰਿ ਪੂਰੀ ਪੜੀ ॥੩॥੧੨॥ Now, I am not concerned with anything else; at Your Door, I am fulfilled. ||3||12||
